I wonder how many different ways to play the game there are? The different strategies?

You can buy a star player for defence, midfield and striker and hope they get the points and then try to build a team around them consisting of 3-8m players.

You can work out that you need at least 12 people and you have a budget of 120mil so you give yourself 10mil for every position.

You can take the riskier option and play players that you know aren't guaranteed starters but you hope they make their way into their team.

I'm sure there are many more.
What's your strategy?

I am just wondering why EPL players are priced so high.

Why is Bale 26 million? I think that is ridiculous if he is the highest priced midfielder in the EPL he should be 21 mil the most because I don't think he is head and shoulder above players like Ribery, Iniesta and Ozil.

All I am saying is I think the EPL prices need to be adjusted. It is ridiculous how some of the players are priced when the other players(in other leagues) who are just as good or better are not as expensive

This is why I'm rolling with no EPL players this year

90% of the prices are based on how well a player performed last year.

The other 10% we manually adjust to take into account transfers/injuries etc (this is generally where you get your bargains as we will miss a few). There is also a premium added to superstar players so we don't end up with 8, 000 teams with the same headline players in them.

I think it would've been nice to make Messi a 40m player and Ronaldo a 35m one, given the fact Mata, Bale and Hazard are 22-26m. Messi at 31m is actually a bargain, and that's been proven for 4 years straight now. Without him (below 40m anyway), you don't have a chance.

But apart from a few players that I think have been spotted by us hardy and thorough DF players, I think this is the best DF so far yet, concerning player pricing. Good job!

I think the player prices are fine except for the EPL prices. They are inflated. It is more than logical for Messi to be 31m and Ronaldo at 29 (if not 30 or the same as Messi). Bale is not worth 26 mil when there are other midfielders who are better that are way cheaper. Are you saying that Bale performed better than Ribery, Iniesta, Ozil, and Mata? Even Mata is something around 24-25 mil which is ridiculous. Iniesta, Ozil and Ribery are all priced from 18-21 which is logical because there is no way you can have more than one of them without downgrading your team somewhere else. Unless you find a really good bargain.

What you are doing is setting up people to buy players from the other three leagues, which defeats the purpose of having a more diverse team from players. In my opinion, some of the EPL prices need to go down in order to match the prices of the other three leagues.

To be honest, I don't want Bale and he wouldn't be my first or second choice.... The reason why I mention it is because I think it is ridiculous that he is priced so much higher than other midfielders

I think the price of plsyers sre ridiculously expensive

Like I stated before, david villa, higuain, Albiol, benzema, tevez, all have price tags awarded to them which should not have been.... They either weren't even close to their best, had the worst seasons, suffered or returning from injury, barely featured for their teams.... How does thatn justify their performance last season in relation to their high price tags....

I can understand players who were in the top 20 for their positioms + messi and ronaldo but some prices are just unnecessary; it takes the fun in gambling with them away.... Considering that they all moved to other big teams too and it's not certain they'll have a fantastic season due to the fact that they just might not fit into their new teams
Jeroen (Barcelona) 3 years ago
Villa is only about 17m; very fair for the top striker of a top team. Albiol is 10m, which is actually very little for a player who plays for Napoli and will play tons. Tévez is only 15. 5m.... I'm not sure what you expect DF to be. A Messi+Ronaldo+Bale+Mata+Iniesta snoozefest? If the 100 best players in the world aren't extremely expensive, everyone will just pick the same famous 11. I would even like to see a further +30% increase to all players' prices
Ltm017 3 years ago
Jeroen I have to disagree with you on this. I think last season prices were much better and fair. Even if the prices were a little cheaper it wouldn't allow everyone to choose the same player. Setting players like Bale at 26m is actually doing that. Why? Why would I choose Bale when I can just go for any of the other top midfielders in the world for 21 mil or less? I am saving 5m there and that can go towards another player.

No, some of the prices are not fair. Especially for players that didn't have a great season or that just came back from injury. Even last season there were only so many people that had Messi and Roanldo and/or Iniesta/Mata/Ozil. Yes, people had at least one of them, but the combination was very different. This was the case especially for people who picked players that switched leagues and took the risk with the players before they were found to be good. In my opinion, this is all about risk. It would be more understandable if they were a bit cheaper now and then before the next transfer window their prices increased because they are performing well. With the amount of transfers it is not a guarantee everyone will be a hit. Also, I don't think Tevez had had that great of a season. He shouldn't be any more than 15m and that is too much he should be 13m.

Albiol? Who? LOL Jeroen I know he will play for Napoli, but he was at Real Madrid and we barely saw him. Actually, we saw him most of the time in photo's when Casillas or one of the starting 11 was on the bench. He shouldn't be anymore than 7mil.

Anyway, I hope I am not the only to see that the EPL prices are ridiculous. I know this is a primarily English site and I don't mean anything by it, but those prices show the bias

Where are the points from the first round of Bundesliga?
Hithere (Manchester United) 3 years ago
You don't get them. Points start from 17th aug this year
SzakalNH (Real Madrid) 3 years ago
Yes, of course. Why would I get the point of the hat-trick Abumeyang. The poor always wind in the eye and anchor in the back
W0lf (Liverpool) 3 years ago
Last years dreamfooty, I cld se the points breakdown by clicking on them, this year I can't , what gives?
