Always bear the in mind how pts are distributed:

Goalkeepers & Defenders:
Clean sheet: 8pts.
Concede more than 1 goal in a game: -1pt per goal.

Midfielders:
Clean sheet: 3pts.
Goal assist: 5pts.

Attackers:
Goal assist: 5pts.

All:
Goal scored: 5pts.
Hat trick bonus: 5pts.
Yellow card: -2pts.
Red card: -4pts.
Playing full game: 3pts
Coming on as sub: 2pts

And I believe, though I'm not sure, that being on the winning team gets a player 3 pts, a draw 1 and a loss 0 of course.

With that in mind, buy defenders of teams with an overall good defence and midfielders and attackers who are part of a generally good attacking team

Well fabregas and torres and essien are out for the rest of the season, so that's your sales taken care of taken care of, get rid of them,

As for who to bring in, we don't know how much money you have available? .
Try to pick someone whos left in champions league or cups.
Lampard is a must, i'll let you dwell over the other two raj.... Lol
