Openfooty And Phone Apps

Hi all

I had a look at the 'Request an API key' form and it seems to assume that I will be accessing the data from a fixed ip address for a website. Does this mean I can't use the API for a phone app where there is no fixed ip address, user agent or website url?

Many thanks

We would normally assume that the calls to the API will be from a fixed position as opposed to live calls from multiple mobile handsets. There is a limit to the number of calls to the API you can make so it is best to make the calls from one location and then serve the data from there.
If this will still present you problems leave the IP request blank and tell us why in the description and we will review your application

Hi, I am happy to set up a web service that makes periodic calls to your API's and caches the results. The phones can then use the web service.

In fact, I have a request pending with you for just that It has been a while since I submitted it, could I get an update?
