Wow.... That's all I can say about argentinas performance
Et1et2et3 (Arsenal) 10 months ago
Messi is stellar as a number ten. His passes are breath-taking!
ChristianoRO (Valencia) 10 months ago
Just look at 0:46 how Messi stops the ball at it feet. Not a single centimeter left or right. Not too often you see this on the football pitch. Simply brilliant!
Sadip123 (Barcelona) 10 months ago
A very good performance from argentina.... I would like to see Pastore in and Higuian out and put messi forward....
Romero
Zabeleta-milito-Burdiso-zenetti
Mascherano
Pastore Gago
Messi Aguero Di-Maria
Sassysa (Manchester United) 10 months ago
Why gago and not cambiasso?  I agree with most of the rest though!
Messiesta (Barcelona) 10 months ago
I'd have to disagree because you can clearly tell he's playing xavi/iniesta role for argentina and if he does go forward there will be no one to give the ball to him unless the midfield wakes up. Pastore is good though he looks comfortable on the ball and lavezzi well he's just good for sub
Sadip123 (Barcelona) 10 months ago
@sassysa cambiasso is more of a defensive midfield....
@Messiesta I think Pastore is good enough to create chances.... Argentina is missing the class of Juan Roman Riquelme....

Messi set up 2 what a playmaker
Roo10ney (Manchester United) 10 months ago
Hell yeah!

Argentina didn't really play well. There were good plays but if you saw the whole game, you see room for improvement. I agree with Sadip23 about Pastore, and though Gago did something, I mostly don't like him. Prefer Banega or Cambiasso.

Great Performance by Messi and Aguero though

TO BE honest AS AN argentinian FAN, THEY CAN performed AND score MORE IF given A better coach.

Just LOOK AT messi; HIS passes AND footwork ARE excellent.
DI maria, aguero ARE superb.
I don't LIKE higuain though, HE can't score FOR argentina, ONLY FOR CLUB level.

Just THE defence I'm worried about.
And I HOPE THEY CAN WIN THE COPA america THIS TIME
Naszrick (Manchester City) 10 months ago
AAAA STOP SCREAMING LOL
Roo10ney (Manchester United) 10 months ago

BOOOM (Arsenal) 10 months ago
This is the argentina I know
Naszrick (Manchester City) 10 months ago
Why they didn't play like this in previous games? Lack of chemistry?
0restes11 (Arsenal) 10 months ago
Definately its chemistry.... Look at the players lol but yeah I reckon a team with too many minds thinking they run the show it gets like that.... But yeah I reckon putting messi in CAM area is good he can feed off any side and also run...
Messiesta (Barcelona) 10 months ago
So awesome when Aguero was pointing at messi after he scored
Alex08 (Juventus) 10 months ago
Aguero is a beast!

I have to say my respect for messi has grown even more, if that where possible. At 24 since the start of this Copa America he has carried the weight of his team on his shoulders, been subjected to booing by the fans, and dealt with relentless criticism from the press, enough I would say to completely break a mans spirit, whether your messi or not. With all that he came out in a very important game, and put in a brilliant performance, taking control of the game, with some great passing and dribbling, playing the role of a play maker, when he usually plays the role of a striker. I can guarantee you even though there have been many great footballers, very few have had to deal with the level of pressure through the media that lionel messi does. Well done messi, hope the rest of the tournament turns out well
YousifSaid (Barcelona) 10 months ago
Ya people were starting to forget Messi has feelings too. When everyone in his country is criticising him that puts so much more pressure and affects your game. Especially Lio because all his teammates say he's still like a kid lol. Good to see someone knows
Bobbycule (Barcelona) 10 months ago
Couldn't agree more. And still, I believe Messi can and will do greater things.
Zaxban (Manchester United) 10 months ago
Messi only best for Barca not for Argentina...
0restes11 (Arsenal) 10 months ago
Did you watch that game? Messi was the man lol.... Trust a man utd fan.... Wounds still fresh I see
Messiesta (Barcelona) 10 months ago
Just as stupid as the person who gave him thumbs up
YousifSaid (Barcelona) 10 months ago
@Orestes11 these people will never learn. They don't understand that just because he didn't score that he wasn't pulling all of the strings. He absolutely controlled this game. He set his teammates up so many times I honestly stopped counting because I could have put some of those chances away. He ended the game with two assists, when he could have easily ended with 5. When Messi touched the ball this game the whole world saw Magic.

If you don't believe what I just said pause this at 3:27 and look at who Aguero's gesture towards Messi

He was the best player in this match, he got man of the match
