Lorient showed they could rebuild a team with unknown players that reveals to be as good as the one they lost who were also unknown before coming to Lorient.

Darcheville, Gignac, Abriel, Ciani, Koscielny, Vahirua etc.... Many examples of good players who left this club, and who knew any of them when Lorient signed them? Most of them were coming from Ligue 2 or National or little foreign championships. That's Lorient's strengh, it's a very intelligent club (Bordeaux should take some lessons if the 5-1 isn't enough)

They'll lose Gameiro and Amalfitano probably yeah. But I guess they'll be replaced with time

You are right Trepa, the Lorient staff always does a great job of bringing new players (and even offering 2nd chances to other) and sell them at a good price.

But that clever system does not always work.
Do you remember Le Mans? Romaric, Coutadeur, Gervinho etc.
We were saying the same thing! But now they're in Ligue 2 (Probably only for a season but still in Ligue 2!)


Gameiro is amazing, a marvellous striker. And next season, even if Lorient's Staff find another great Striker, he won't be as good as Gameiro!

I guess we have nothing else to do than just wait this season ends well for us, meaning staying in Ligue 1. And hope for some big changes this summer at every levels : players, staff, chairmen

What Carrasso can do when his defence leaves him alone, what Carrasso can do when his alone vs 3 or 4 Lorient players most of times? What can any goalie in the world can do with Bordeaux' defence?

Carrasso tried everything to close the huge gap. Resulting in desperates moves that ended into a red card for him. I personally don't blame Carrasso on this game

I wish I could stop checking Bordeaux' results results right now. But I can't I'm a supporter lol
