He was having some Achilles problems, but he's more or less healthy now. But Redknapp told him he wouldn't be in the squad for this match so he flew to Russia early for international duty. I wish we played him more...
I was watching this game on the television at home and I thought the Tottenham players were dirty tacklers! Jenas, Corluka, and Palacios were always getting fouls called on them! On the other hand, Bolton played great football to get their two goals! I just love it how Kevin Davies always seems to pop up with a goal for Bolton. The way he holds off the defender with his strength just amazes me!
I think as they were saying at the end of the game, that spurs last season or in previous seasons would have folded and lost the game, but we are a different team now. Even when we go a goal down or possibly two goals down, I have a confidence in the team that we can score goals and get back in to games which I didn't feel about us before. Keep is up spurs! COYS!
I agree with you 100%. Last year we would never have come back. Spurs could of nicked it at the end. A point at the Reebok will do me just fine. The next game at Portsmouth is going to be tough especially with all the ex spurs lads they have and the harry factor
Same as Man utd. A 2-2 draw. Man utd sucks without some of their good players. While tottenham? Just lucky to have a draw. They need to improve on defending. As fir th sane to man utd, Man utd's goalkeeping and defending no good.
We were missing many of our "gd" players too.... Modric, King, Woodgate, etc.... Plus Defoe's hand was too dangerously unhealthy to allow him to play 90 minutes. I can't say we played like we deserved to win but this was nowhere near our full strength side
