We had 22 shots they had 9 and 60 percent of the play with territorial advantage of 68-32 of the ball played in Blackpools half. How were they the better team?
Did you watch the game?! Rovers battered them. 26 shots to blackpool's 9! They were dominating up until that 5 minutes of madness that never should have been allowed to happen (thanks mr. Webb, your strange decisions today could easily have played into the relegation of either team, costing the club and towns millions.) As much as I hate when players go nuts yelling and bombarding the ref when he gives a penalty, it is equally as frustrating when the ref abuses his power by turning inwards on himself and deciding that his call is matter no matter how strange. There should be some form of ruling actions. The line judge should have more of a say if they saw something and had a better view of it than the ref. Have somebody upstairs that is watching the video and can give a super fast heads up on what actually happened that the ref couldn't see.
Anyway, rant over. I truly hope that neither team gets relegated. Blackburn are one of the most traditional and history-enriched clubs in the country, and Blackpool have really been a breath of fresh air this year. Rovers are no longer long ball tacticians, but really should have gone about changing that strategy in the summer instead of mid campaign. Shape up, Venky's
I'm actually suprised we didn't lose as blackburn was dominating all of the second half, and with our record of crap defence I was pleasantly suprised that we held on for so long after the first goal. In the end though I thought that both teams deserved a draw at least
The free kick was a peach! Don't tell me no Cristiano Ronaldo! This is charlie! ADAM! .... Some poor referee decisions really for my taste, the penalty was sooo soft. Very nice comeback Blackburn
Blackpool, along with Westham, are two teams I want to see to stay up next season. Blackpool are always entertaining and have great spirits in each and every game. They only need to buy a great keeper. Kingston has been very poor and cost the team many points!
