What kind of comment is this? You are actually happy that messi got injured? And then you hope he recovers soon? Bipolar disorder at work?

How did Benfica not get a goal in that game. Too many clear chances
Jandito (Barcelona) 4 years ago
Get well soon, World no. 1!

Sometimes when you focus on things that don't matter and you put all your eggs in one basket. You lose the goose and the eggs.

It all happens to us in life.

It definitely happened to messi.

They should have brought on iniesta and xavi to lessen the pressure on messi

I totally agree with you because Messi seems to be super healthy when he plays full games from the start, Tito knows he made a mistake but he doesn't want to accept it, also I'm sure he wasn't that warm when he came to the pitch
Anathir (Celtic) 4 years ago
Wish barca showed some respect with celtic and played with their full team, we had to play against it twice
SadistWeah (Arsenal) 4 years ago
True, but barca's 2nd string is more than a match as well. Their defensive lapses did make it look easy for benfica, but benfica didn't put any chances away either.

And barca has to plan and rest their stars for this weekend's la liga match. Not a particularly easy fixture against real betis who juz defeated real madrid
ManoK (Barcelona) 4 years ago
Already qualified
Ilikeairports (Barcelona) 4 years ago
It's normal Anathir. Even though I see where you're coming from, it's rough at the top of Europe, especially for a team that's always expected to win, and superstars need rest too. What Tito did was only sensible (the Messi incident was just bad luck), plus it was several important players who needed some playing time (Puyol, Villa, Thiago) and several players who are close to first choice and have played many more important matches (Tello, Song, Adriano, Montoya). Only a few, like Rafinha and Planas, are straight B-team

Why didn't Messi sit out with all the other good guys?
ChaosStriker (Barcelona) 4 years ago
Barca does not care about Celtic, Barca is not here to cater for your qualifying chances.

Barca only does what is in their favor, we couldn't care less whether you qualify or not as long as we top the group
Andrec (Celtic) 4 years ago
Yeah, piss poor sportsmanship from Barca but at least they never lost. Tops to Spartak, they had a bloody good go in Glasgow considering they were out
OzilReal (Real Madrid) 4 years ago
Benfica should ve at least got couples
KidRobe (Real Madrid) 4 years ago
He tried to score that, while injured. Respect. Get well soon

Get well soon pal...
Jepc92003 (Barcelona) 4 years ago
I hope he gets well soon, football is not the same without him, by the way I do believe Tito made a mistake by putting him in the second when he would have more pressure and would not be as warmed, he should put him from the beginning or not put him at all, Messi is always at his healthiest when he plays every full game
Ilikeairports (Barcelona) 4 years ago
I'd argue that, statistically speaking, his chances of getting injured are still higher when he plays for 90 minutes than when he plays for 30, and players warm up before they come on. Plus it's Barcelona, so it's not like a Russian-type freezeover down there, probably like 10/50 degrees at this time in the evening

Get well soon Messi! Just recover ahead of time to score that fabled 85th goal! You worked hard for it!
Saucy05 (Arsenal) 4 years ago
