The defence is not as strong now as when it was before Lucio left, having said that I think we still have players that could make it as strong if not stronger.

Bayern's defence should include Demichelis and Lahm no matter what, both provide the back with skill and experience. Van Buyten and Badstuber seem to have quality but no yet convince me, but I think they would be better than Breno and Braafheid. That leaves Gorlitz and Lell which I haven't seen play enough to comment on their performance

Yeah, I was amazed at Elia's game for Holland. Heard of him, but had no idea what skill he had. Impressive performance from him that game.

And Arjen + Franck (Frarjen?) are world class; Bayern finally has some players that the biggest teams in the world will fear again
