What Are Arsenal's Best Attacking Options
GoonSquad (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Considering its only a matter of time until Podolski and Walcott start getting chances to play in a more central role, its time to further think about our options.
Gervinho, Podolski, Giroud, Walcott, Cazorla, Chamberlain, Chamakh, Arshavin, Ryo, Gnabry etc.
We could more or less interchange between the following systems of attack:
2 up front, 3 up front, or 4 up front
Striker - Striker__Winger - Striker - Winger__ or Winger - Striker - Striker - Winger
There are so many things to take into account, for example, if we start playing Poldi centrally, what will happen to his defensive contributions on our left flank (our weakest side defensively). Would he continue to work as hard playing both ways, resulting in him dropping deeper and deeper to defend and get the ball, or would he sacrifice most of his defensive contributions to remain open for the attack. Etc....

What system, who will play in it and where, why would this be stronger/better for us, strengths weaknesses

Looking forward to your input
