I think he should stay just becuase of the mere fact he is the heart of the team he hasnt won anything for arsenal as a captain yet and this team is starting to gel especially with van persie fit

Hope he stays, he with all-do respect can create almost anything out of a difficult or different situation, he sums up what Wenger has done to Arsenal, come to Arsenal unknown and forever changed it

If we get a decent amount of money for him then I honestly don't care. His heart is not with Arsenal, its quite obviously with Barcelona. Just becuase he's played for us for so many years does not mean we've stolen his heart from his boyhood club. This does not mean to say he does not love Arsenal, but we certainly do not 'have his heart'.

Furthermore, we generally play half the season without him anyway and Wilshere is rapidly becoming an English Fabregas, both in terms of captaincy and as a creative midfielder.

I would rather let him play for whoever he wants to and spend the money on a decent defensive midfielder. Another Viera would be nice

Correction: wilshere is in no way a fabregas type player.... If you are looking for a replacement for fabregas thn its ramsey your looking at...

I'm not looking for a fabregas replacement, I want a decent CDM so Wilshere can push up. Wilshere sits back, pulls the strings, spreads the play and delivers the killer pass. Just like fab. He will directly fill Fabregas' boots in 2 years time

Is it really, or is it the whole team? Even with him we're still drawing far too many games. I know what he brings to the team and he's a fantastic player, but if he wants to leave then so be it. I'd take the 40m+ and set about replacing him

I most definitely agree with you, his heart is just not here anymore. Not to say he has done wonders for our club especially since the henry era has ended. But if his heart isn't here then sell him for 40 mil. And bring in a Big name keeper as well as a big name center back and we will win some trophies. AW knows now that we must spend, and if he stays frugal as he does for this summer and we don't win any trophies then something has to give. The problem with our team has always been depth, we never seem to have any. All of the top teams in the world have depth. Man utd has a great third striker in chicharito, gibson and evans are players that can play anywhere. Chelsea has alex, mikel, a great third striker in kalou. Nikolas be. Is not a high level third striker and I'm not confident in Chamak yet, and we Djbororu just isn't a starting center back either. We add high quality depth and we will win trophies bottom line

I think your off your rocket if your a fan and you think he should go.
If cesc wants to be in spain he will go there.
Its his job he'll decide in the end but while we can have the awesomeness that is cesc lets use it.
And replacing cesc.
That's an impossible task you just need a new player
