Rank Your Top 3 Gunners This Season (excluding RVP)
[account-removed] 1 year ago
Really Hard but I'm going to give this a shot.
3. Sagna - When he came back, our defence has been solid, as we didn't have to rotate, and play people out of position. Gave him no. 3 because he missed a part of the season.

2. Kos- His best season at arsenal by far. Really solid at the back, and I hope he kept us in the title race. Really the meaning of not giving someone time to adapt before judging him.

1. Szczesny - Kept us in the title race with RVP. As a goalie, he's fearless and doesn't let anything affect him(don't know how he does it, but I want to know his ways lol)

Hon. Mentions.
1) Arteta - Great signing
2) Song - Controls that midfield by winning crucial tackles, and his vision is superb
3) Rosicky - Spark in the midfield that we didn't have when he came back. What we missed 2 years ago, when he was injured
4) Ox- Changed the game, and added massive amounts of confidence
5) Walcott - Improved as a winger overall, Has defineately improved his crossing ability from few seasons ago
6) henryy- You just have to have him here, who wouldn't? He actually won some games for us, which is more than anyone expected, and also added that confidence boost we were lacking

All in all it was very hard, as I kept adding people. But hope you like it

1. Alexandre Song
2. Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain
3. Rosicky

All three have impressed me this season. Alexandre Song has been a beast in the midfield, and has improved his all-around game. Ox has shown what he's able to do, despite being so young. I'm excited to see more of him in the future. Rosicky seems to have is groove back (He just has to start shooting from distance again!)

Song, arteta, and szczesny. Simply because they have been there for majority of season or I would def include sagna
Beebo (Arsenal) 1 year ago
1) Ramsey  Lets be fair he has saved many lives over the whole campaign
Chargui (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Lol Beebo
Duces14 (Arsenal) 1 year ago
I will go with tex for obvious reamsons.
2- Mr song who's a gooner true and true and deserves all the credit he's been recieving lately cause he's come a long way from he's early arsenal days to be now considered one of the better midfielders in the EPL both offensively and defensively.
And finally Mr arteta for sublime first season and slotting in to our team rather easily and doing the business. And to think we got him for 10 million is a bonus I only wish he was 25 years of age

Excluding van Persie. Hm....

Firstly, Song. Obviously. Everyone would definitely choose him. He's be superb all season. Strong at the back, and lethal with his through balls. Brilliant.
Continues to show everyone why we should have trusted Wenger when we all said he should buy a new defensive midfielder.

Secondly, Szczesny. Unflappable. Nothing phases him. Concede eight goals in a single match? Eh, there's always next time. Brilliant basically all season. Definitely one of the best goalkeepers in the league, and perhaps the world.
Continues to show everyone why we should have trusted Wenger when we all said he should buy a new goalkeeper.

Lastly, Koscielny. While Vermaelen is certainly our best centre back, Kos has been immense this season, especially since Vermaelen has been a bit out of form. He's shown a lot more of the kind of display he had against Barcelona last season, and a lot less of the dross he showed after he first arrived. I'd say he's our most improved player this season.
Continues to show everyone why we should have trusted Wenger when we all said he should buy a new centre back.

Obviously players such as Sagna, Arteta, Walcott, and especially, Rosicky all deserve a mention, but I think those three have been our absolute best. Outside of our godlike forward, of course.

I really struggled to pick just 3 but I'm going as follows:

Koscielny - when I saw him play in his first season he was a bit clumsy and a lot of people were slating him. I had a full on debate with my friend after the Carling Cup shocker because he said Koscielny was terrible and I said that in 2 years time he would be the best Cb in the league. We're now 1 year on and my friend is beginning to look at me like some sort of wise sage. Le Kos is fast, strong, good in the air, good with the ball at his feet and has been outstanding for the last 12 months.

Song - ultimate midfield hero. As Arsenalfbce said, he's gotta' be the one and only DAM in the world. Yaya Toure is good but he hasn't got the tekkers like Songinho. Classy assists for RVP, strong on the ball, good at winning it back too. He's not quite a box-to-box like Viera but he is certainly one of the first names on the team sheet, and I'm glad he wears the red and white.

Walcott - so often the subject of criticism from fans and pundits alike but Theo has saved our bacon on several occaisions. Without his champions league goals we would not have made it out of the group stages and lets not forget he scored in a lot of our London derbies including a 2 minute brace against Spurs. Worthy of praise and recognition despite his ability to frustrate in equal measure.

People who were so close but not quite:

Szczesny - I still remember that penalty save against Udinese, that was a definate turning point for us and his heroics have been instrumental in keeping us relatively tight at the back. Like many have said, the best keeper we've had since Lehmann.

Vermaelen - top goal scoring defender in the league says it all. Like a wrecking ball on speed, Verminator is the defensive general and its no coincidence we're stronger with him in the team.

My top 3 gunners this year have been
#1. Koscielny! The renegade is showing a new comfort level to go with his ninja abilities
#2. Song! I love his new dragon haircut and he plays strong and magical like a dragon.
#3. Arteta! Wish he didn't get hurt. Linked up the midfield between defence and offense seemlessly more Xavi than Fabregas

1. Ramsey  2. Ramsey  3. Ramsey

Arteta - Absolute maestro in midfield for us this season, softened the blow of losing big names last summer. Passing, vision and goals.

Walcott - Loads of assists and goals. Been RVP's main supply line. Probably one of his best seasons yet.

Koscielny - Our Mr reliable this season, made some amazing runs back to get a tackle in and also started some fantastic plays from the back.

It is hard to choose but there my 3 key players for our seasons revival.

I know, it was unbelievably hard to pick. RVP always praises Walcott for his impressive number off assists so he does deserve a mention this season, particularly as he's popping up with important goals too
Redhertz (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Yeah shame he got injured would have made third easier to get. I think OX's appearance really has made Walcott step up his game.competition for places always makes your team better. Especially if there all good players
