Oh I read that Toni and Klose were preferred upfront instead of Podolski so he wanted to go back to Koln where he can get more playing time

I don't think Podolski has scored in the Bundesliga yet and still not to sure about his move back to Koln. His form with the national team however is excellent but the same can't be said about his performances with Koln. Hope Koln do well in the league for the sake of his football development though !
