La Liga - Real Madrid somehow stayed top of La Liga after a late Ruud van Nistelrooy equaliser gave them a 2-2 draw at Zaragoza. Barcelona had been cruising to a three-point lead until they conceded a late leveller to Espanyol. Van Nistelrooy (2) and Diego Milito (2) scored in a heart-stopping game. After 11 long and succesful seasons at Real Madrid 34-year-old World Cup winner Roberto Carlos will join Fenerbahce at the end of the season.
Carlos told Spanish newspaper Marca: “Yes, I will be playing in Turkey at Fenerbahce.
“They are the club that have shown most interest in signing me and they convinced me with their project. They have spoken to me lots of times and a very important element in helping me make my decision was that Zico is their coach.
What a talent, i’m sure the players at the Turkish club will gain alot of knowledge from the Brazilian.
