Spanish sports newspaper “AS” has reported that AC Milan’s Kaka has urged club President,Berlusconi, to listen to offers from Real Madrid.
This is what he is reported to say:
“President, I have won everything with the Milan jersey. I’ve given and received a lot from this shirt, but now Real Madrid are calling and I want to accept this challenge. You decide, but I ask you to at least listen to their proposal.”
Will he join Real Madrid? What he said makes sense as he almost single handedly won the Champions League for Milan and now a move to the Spanish Champions is not really hard to realize considering that they have practically rid themselves of the “old stars” Carlos,Becks,Ronaldo,Zidane and have replaced them talented youngsters and a mix of experience in Van Nistelrooy, Raul, Guti and Emerson.
This is quite a shocking move for me as i can’t see why Diego Forlan would want to leave Villarreal for another La Liga side, but Atletico Madrid have confirmed that Forlan will be joining them for a fee of about 21 million euros (£14m) much more compared to the knockdown price of £2 million Villarreal payed Man Utd.
This would mean that Torres will be on his way out with Liverpool being mooted as the possible destination.
London club Tottenham Hostpurs has secured the services of Darren Bent for a suprising £16.5million, i say suprising because i really don’t think he’s worth that much but than again he has 6 years with Spurs to prove otherwise.
Bent said: “Tottenham have a lot of young English players and it’s a young squad, it’s a squad going forward and that’s the direction I wanted to take.
“They seem to be getting better and better every season and I would love to be part of that. (more…)
