It’s kinda sad to see the energetic Alan Smith leaves Man Utd for Newcastle but i guess he knew his time was up as soon as he heard that Tevez was on his way.The £6m deal also cast doubts on Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins remaining with the Toons, but if anyone was to leave it would probably be Martins with rumors that Arsenal are on the ready to pounce.
Smith passed his medical on Thursday before putting the finishing touches to a contract that could earn him £60,000 a week.
He leaves Manchester United after three difficult seasons at Old Trafford, where an ill-fated conversion into a defensive midfielder hampered his progress, while he missed nearly a year with a broken leg.

If a deal is confirmed it is rumored that he will go for £14m, that’s a lot of money for a rightback, but than again he is young, has experience at European level as well as international level.
“I won everything that could have been won at Sevilla so I feel that this is the moment to continue my career in another place.”
Alves is one of the stars of the Sevilla side that claimed a treble last season, winning the UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Cup and Copa del Rey, while finishing third in La Liga to secure a Champions League berth

Jose Antonio Reyes is set to be Atletico Madrid’s next high profile signing after the capture of Benfica’s Simao Sabrosa,Atletico are reportedly paying 12 million euros for the striker which was double what Real Madrid were prepared to pay. The player is set to be publicly unveiled on Tuesday.“Atletico have snatched Reyes from Real Madrid,” claimed the newspaper which added the agreement between Atletico, Arsenal and Reyes was set to be signed on Sunday.
You would have expected the Real Madrid camp to hold on to the player who practically gave them the title by scoring a brace in the 3-1 victory over Real Zaragoza on the final day of the season, but than again they let Fabio Capello go…so there’s not much to expect i guess.
