I LOVE BRAZIL!
"I have a good relationship with Mano Menezes," he said. "I have spoken to him a few times and he came here to meet with me and Marcelo.

"I have told him that I want to play for the national team again. But I believe my return to the national team will depend on my performances at club level, as that is the reason why players get called up for the national side.

"I will, little by little, get my place back at my club, things will turn out well and I will be called up again."

We need Ricky back in the side!
Hell motherfucking yes! I really, REALLY hope he plays in the Olympics this summer he deserves to be back on the national team after an above average season with Madrid

Olympic>Euro 2012 for me this summer :P
Kaka ✔
Ronaldinho ✔
Marcelo ✔
David Luiz ✔

Whose left that deserves to get called up?
+1
Pato.
Hulk.
Neymar.
Julio Cesar,
Are you talking about the Olympics now? You can only have 3 overaged players there, rest must be borned 1st january 1989 or later.

I think the squad will be something like this:

Defenders: Daniel Alves, (Barcelona), Danilo (FC Porto), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Alex Sandro (Tottenham), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), David Luiz (Chelsea), Bruno Uvini (Tottenham), Juan (Inter Milan).

Midfielders: Casemiro (Sao Paulo), Sandro (Tottenham), Romulo (Vasco), Paulo Henrique Ganso (Santos), Lucas (Sao Paulo), Oscar (Internacional), Giuliano (Dnipro),

Forwards: Alexandre Pato (Internacional), Hulk (FC Porto), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Neymar (Santos), Wellington Nem (Fluminense).

To me it seems logical to assume that 3 of the following 6 are being considered as the 3 overaged players:

Chelsea defender David Luiz,
AC Milan defender Thiago Silva,
Barcelona defender Daniel Alves,
Real Madrid defender Marcelo,
FC Porto striker Hulk and
Botafogo goalkeeper Jefferson.

As I would like to see Luis Guillherme in goal, I think I would cross Jefferson out here. and that leaves us with 5 options, 6 if we throw Kaká into the picture.

In the left back, I would like to see Juan get a chance as he might very well be the future for Brazil, so that eliminate Marcelo and at the right back it would be nice to see Romario so then I can cross out Dani Alves.

So now we stands with 4 options, Hulk, Kaka, Thiago Silva and David Luiz. Well Personally I must say a Silva-Luiz partnership is promising for the future of Brazil so I would like to see them win a title together and get better chemistry already this summer so for me, it would be to choose between Kaka and Hulk. Hulk got more of a future in the Brazil squad than Kaka do, but I am a Kaka fan so I wouldn't like to be the one saying he cant play either. Besides, we got alternatives such as Neymar, Damiao, Pato to play this role and I think they will do fine and our team wouldnt suffer from having an extra creative midfielder behind who is also able to make something out of nothing.

Conclusion:
David Luiz
Thiago Silva
Kaká/Hulk
^ Seeing that Kaka has been left off the friendly's rosters, it's hard to see him chosen for the squad

Alex, you've watch a lot of Brazilian football, right? How has Mario Fernandes been?
Who else is going to watch the friendly Brazil contra Argentina 9th of June? It's going to be AMAZING! :) :) :) Ronaldhino vs Messi? :)
Ronaldinho é o melhor
I'd like to see Kaká back. And please non Brazilian tv people, stop putting the emphasis on the wrong syllable.
i would play like this at the WC..

Where is Pato? He will surely be on the side. I love our back line! One of the worlds best for sure. I'd like to think Kaka will be on the bench along side Ronaldinho and gets subbed in when in trouble, but this line up look solid. We just need the likes of Pato, Neymar, Ganso, Lucas Damiao to step up.

Keep an eye on Lucas. He looks promising!

Also forgot Robinho. I would start him over Lucas just for experience really, but the line up looks solid. Pato over Damião any day. He's overrated in my opinion, but can't say much since I haven't watched him play too many times. Also like Luiz Gustavo or Lucas Leiva over Sandro, but that's some really good competition for that spot. All in all, we need to show up in the World Cup; not losing at home that's for sure.

@MarquinhoACM other than the past month, Robinho has been terrible. Who cares about experience, I will be very mad if Robinho starts over Lucas!
@Realfan220 Robinho has been terrible at finishing, his distribution and general movement off the ball still has been a small step below world class throughout the whole season. I like Lucas, but I'm a firm believer that the young Brazilians need to prove themselves in Europe first. I can't remember the exact year or coach, but a certain coach experimented with a full team of players from the Brazilian league during qualifications and the team barely qualified for the World Cup, it was a failure

Where on earth is HULK -.-
@NeymarJr On the bench :P Not a starter in my opinion
Hulk doesn't deserve to be on the bench in my opinion, if you watch his game at porto this man is a real tank and unhuman shots. Lucas is a bit too young that's why Hulk should play instead and Pato over Damiao. Pato had a bad season due to his injuries.
Since when has it been a bad thing to be young?
Damião had a mediocre game when last he played for Brazil, IMO. Ganso could be important for us if he can stay healthy. Hulk has been one of our most consistent players so far, he deserves the start more than most players, IMO.
Did Brazil play today? I saw a team wearing yellow and blue but they really didn't play like Brazil, I said " Nah, that cant be Brazil".
Yea that's cuz they played very poorly today, not the brazil most of us are used to watching, kinda disappointing really
Nah, it's just that they were playing Bosnia mate.
yea Bosnia is a good squad imo. Plus Pato and Robinho were missing :)
It was a good Bosnian squad, but still a disappointing performance for the Brazilians
Ronaldinho is a shadow of his former self, he was an absolute mess out there...
No one played well expect for Marcelo and Dani Alvez.

If you want to talk about players having a bad game, then talk about Neymar. His passes were awful, couldn't beat one defender, shots were just horrible. Ronaldinho may not have had a good game, but Neymar just had a terrible game.
Fire Menezes!!!
Porque? Voce esta loco meu amigo.

Nós não mudamos os nossos treinadores como mudarmos nossa roupa interior como alguns fazem outra

What an ugly game. This was one the worst team performance's I have ever seen from Brazil. It was like the players didn't know each other and didn't want to pass the ball. Hated the fact that Neymar was playing so poorly, his passes was really bad.

Good to see Ronaldinho back in the side again. Didn't have a magical match, but so didn't most of the other Brazilian players. We need him on our team because of his leadership, his experience, his loyalty to the national side. If he doesn't get called up for the Olympics, I will be very disappointed.

We need Kaka back in the mid field. To me, the weakest part of the team was in the mid field. (It got better once Gano and Lucas came on) We need Kaka's vision in the mid field to make those final passes to the strikers and make those mind blowing through balls to Neymar/Pato/Hulk/Robinho.

All in all, 6.5 out of 10 performance for me.
Kaka left out of Brazil's squad :(

"I don't have an explanation for all the players who didn't make the squad," Menezes said. "I really respect Kaka but this is a matter of an opinion. Perhaps his recent performances didn't convince me."

Maicon, Lucio, Robinho and Alexandre Pato were also overlooked, along with Manchester United duo Rafael and Fabio, while Benfica's Luisao and Chelsea's David Luiz retained their places on the 23-man squad.

Brazil: Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Diego Alves (Valencia), Rafael (Santos), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Daniel Alves, Adriano (both Barcelona), Alex Sandro (Porto), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), David Luiz (Chelsea), Luisao (Benfica), Dede (Vasco da Gama), Danilo (Porto), Elias (Sporting), Fernandinho (Shakhtar Donetsk), Hernanes (Lazio), Sandro (Tottenham Hotspur), Paulo Henrique Ganso (Santos), Lucas (Sao Paulo), Ronaldinho (Flamengo), Neymar (Santos), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Jonas (Valencia), Hulk (Porto)

Time to see some Dinho magic again!!!
if kaka's performance in madrid didnt convince him... i wonder what he saw in ronaldinho's performance in flamengo
Not a big deal... seems like the midfield and attack were pretty experimental anyway
I wonder if you seen Ronaldinho's matches for Flamengo...
DaGaza, Ronaldinho is really good for Flamengo. Its not fair to say anything bad about Dinho after his improvements in Brazil. Lets not forget this guy has done it all, been there done that. And hes 30 years old, that fact that he still gets called up to the National team shows how good of a player and person he is.

Dinho needs to stay in the side, so does Kaka.
Brazil - Argentina here in the US in June. Just bought my tickets and can't describe my excitement.
My dream is to meat Ronaldinho or Kaka in person. Its a life long dream that I have, which I probably won't do :(
