After the game against Chile, Edgardo BAUZA said: “If I had to rate this game, I’d give it a ten.”
This guy really doesn't have any clue.

Thought it was for insulting the assistant ref. Still it is ridiculous.
They were clueless against Bolivia.- No Macherano or Dybala. Even Higuain didn't play.

Ref never reported about any insults. It seemed like Messi was furious about something with the linesman though. 1-2 game ban would be understandable if the insults were real. But 4 game suspension is just BIG power show off by FIFA.

Messi has announced his retirement from international football. I don't think either him or the country could manage another tournament without him delivering the goods. Shame but reality.

Tbh I am open to see what this leads to. Obviously as an Argentina fan, I love messi and I do think he gets an unfair share of the criticism. But people who say he took Argentina to three finals, I don't think they watch Argentina play. Ironically his best competition for Argentina for me was 2010 World Cup. I have seen many people claim that he was horrible in that competition. They are either idiots or didn't watch Argentina play at all. He was amazing in that tournament. Other than scoring a goal, he did almost everything that could've possibly been done. He was the only player in that tournament who didn't make it to the semi final but was shortlisted for golden ball. He was s**t in 2011 Copa America but the whole Argentina team were. And in the last World Cup, he was nowhere close to his best. He was even worse in 2015 Copa America. In this years Copa America, he scored a lot of goals but I still didn't see the player who dribbles through players for fun at club level. He still had a solid tournament, don't get me wrong but you also have to look at the oppositions they played. The only tough match they had before the final was the first group match against Chile where they won 2-1 without messi.
So yea, I am curious to see how Argentina consistently performs without messi. I believe as the pressure grew on him, he became less and less influential for Argentina. And as many people expect, he is probably just gonna take a break anyways. And it might be a wise decision because if Argentina does poor without him, people will realize his importance which frankly I, like many others, can't see at least in terms of actual performance on the pitch. But if it does happen, he can then come back knowing that people would be more cautious about putting the blame on him.

Totally agree on all accounts. Argentina have a lot of exciting talent and need to reset now and come back as a stronger unit. If its without Messi, so be it.

okay that's it, i am not watching any more finals that argentina are involved in. f*****g bottlers, all of them.

if argentina loses this one, i am gonna start a petition to ban higuain from argentina's national team

Best team for the Copa
Hoping for a win for Messi and the Boys

I really think it's already late to replace G. Martino. AFA should act long before it's tooooo late!!

Every passing football game that Argentina NT plays,TATA's limitations as a coach is more and more pronounced. Why cant' AFA have a World Class Coach? At least a decent coach like Sabella is minimum.
Don't know what makes AFA believe in coaches like Maradona, Batista, TATA... :(
