Riquelme was my favourite Argentine player till he decided to retire. Pekerman made a huge mistake in taking him off in 2006 world cup against Germany and sending Julio Cruz. We should have won the past 2 worldcups given the team at disposal. But alas!

Not only Midfield they got bigger problems in the Defence...Eric Lamela is needed in the midfield....and young guys like Pazella should be given chance in the D...But we cant do everything at once...I still think Requelme should be brought back...Requelme and Lamela in the Midfield. Experience plus young talent...dangerous combination....Plus Juan Iturba has bright future as well.....
