After a fan for Gunners for 2 decades, it is sad to see the team crawling like this!!! This is Wenger…! A manager said that he don't like title !! And he did not keep the medal. He just want to release his own pressure of NOT HAVING any titles in past years. I think the next task of Arsenal is thinking how to retain the GOOD players. If I were Cesc, I must go… I can't spend my golden years in a club which the mgr don't like trophy….!! Like F16 last year, aged 24 from France, still decided to leave the club. Because the player were disappointed when the club were trophyless years after year.
***BTW, Emirate's is a curse, this sponsor did not WIN any title once their name printed on the SHIRT … !!!

Superb Win … outplayed, outclassed, outperformed… seemed like united were the home team today !! we went to emirates stadium and shut mouths of arsenal fans…
I could hear them shout VIVA Ronaldo and sing Glory Glory Man United …
Roberto Rosetti shut all the mouths saying referees favor united… the fact is that they dont!! they dont favor any team … they are humans and humans make mistakes!!
Dont worry fletcher, the red card decision will be overturned and we shall see you line up in starting 11 in Rome…
Glory Glory Man United!!!! | May 6th, 2009 @ 5:33 am
Great win for united!!! :)
It will be even better when we win the ucl again this year :))
but the red card decision cannot be overturned, we cannot appeal the decision :(
im sure fergie will make the right decision in choosing the right player as the replacement for fletcher.

orangcina | May 6th, 2009 @ 7:25 am
You know what's funny? At the second goal, the commentator was half way saying Ronaldo is too far to try any shoot at goal.Guess what,he got own :)
Dan | May 6th, 2009 @ 8:30 am
There is no way to appeal a red card in the champions league i'm afraid.
Poor fletcher will be left out of the final because of a terrible mistake by the referee.
kakasuck | May 6th, 2009 @ 9:29 am
emirates curse? thats just a loser word. its just no good defender in arsenal!!
PT | May 6th, 2009 @ 10:11 am
No doubt if Ronaldo ever leaves this team they will drop down to a average team..Arsenal played like absolute crap..Who in it's right mind puts a 18 year old rookey on defensive line against MAn U. attacking line..Stupid decisions, and you pay for them.

hope fifa will remove fletcher red card. terrible decision.
jose | May 6th, 2009 @ 11:12 am
well done to manchester they were much better team then arsenal. great 3rd goal and unlucky for fletcher but red card will not be rescinded. i would love to see barca v manchester in the final. They have been the 2 best teams in the world this season, barcelona with unstoppable attack and manchester with imprenetable (mostly) defense.
MarkC | May 6th, 2009 @ 11:12 am
I think the referee as an option to review the decision and issue a yellow rather than red. I may be wrong though, that is how i took it up listening to Sir Alex's interview afterwards.
hayez_flyest | May 6th, 2009 @ 11:15 am
WOW we merked bigtime. Ref should overturn Fletch red card, he got da ball.
bRING it on barca/chelski. we beat uz last yr n we'll own u again.
Jim | May 6th, 2009 @ 12:08 pm
Your right about arsenal. It's about time they stopped living on past glories. Wenger has had his time, he should bugger off to spain or become the next manager of france.
They should get someone in who is going to shake things up a bit and get rid of the less motivated players like Adebayor and co.
The also need to spend a little more cash if they are to have even a glimmer of winning any major trophies. United have shown than you need a mixture of youth and battle hardened players in order to succeed these days. But Your wrong about the Ronaldo situation. United have a brilliant squad and every player can be replaced. To say they will be average without him is stupid.

Ultimately fantastic! Magnifique! Sangat baik! 真棒!
That's our United!
Man United | May 6th, 2009 @ 1:53 pm
The Advantage that Man United has over Barca is that they can score at their will… and if Barca manage to qualify, it will be a treat to watch.

Whatever your comment is stupid with the old age Arsenal..blablabla..Arsenal is full of new blood. Wenger is simply no longer interested in the job.Last year Manchester United spent much of it's campain hinging on Ronaldo. If he's not scoring he's passing or creating defensive havok. Manchester United was crap much of the begining of the season when Ronaldo was in sick bay nursing his hankle. SAF interupted his vacation to go to Portugal last Summer to plead and beg Ronaldo to stay at Old Traford and not to transfer to Madrid…yeah and my comment is stupid..anyway I hate the bastard because he does nothing for our national team, so I couldn't care less one way or the other..
MerV | May 7th, 2009 @ 2:33 am
Anyone United folks here would take a repeal of Fletcher's red card in exchange for that of Abidal's? *grin*
tj14 | May 7th, 2009 @ 2:38 am

UEFA general secretary David Taylor has revealed an avenue of appeal could be open to Manchester United over the red card which has dashed Darren Fletcher's Champions League final hopes. The Scotland international was dismissed late on in Tuesday's Champions League semi-final win over Arsenal for a professional foul on Cesc Fabregas. Replays showed Fletcher had in fact played the ball but UEFA confirmed on Wednesday that United do not have the right to appeal against the referee's decision. As things stand Fletcher will sit out the final against Barcelona in Rome later this month but Taylor has hinted at a reprieve for the combative midfielder. “I have spoken with Alex Ferguson personally on this – as fate would have it we shared a car after the match. We were rather thrown together but had an interesting discussion,” Taylor said. “He was very fair about the referee and what had happened but equally he was very disappointed for Darren, as are we all. I tried to give Alex as much advice as I could with regards the procedure in these circumstances. There is no formal process. But if the club want to write to us with information – such as video evidence – explaining why they think this is a harsh punishment then they can do that. The likelihood is that we'd then refer the matter to our disciplinary body. They would then look to see if there were any special circumstances to justify any departure from established procedures. I must stress there is normally no way these matters can be overturned.”
Where there is a Ferguson, there is a Way… :P

Even though “the bastard” as u call him, is the best player in the world (in most eyes), he can't play against 11 other players all alone mate. Manutd is the best team in the world without him, but are way better with him. Hes got barely any defensive skills. He is the best attacking player in the world. But you need defence to play offence. And manutd has managed to be one of the best defensive teams in the world (without ronaldo).
He doesn't play well internationally because he doesn't have any other good player to support him. He can't do everything alone. other portugese players aren't that highly skilled.
PT | May 9th, 2009 @ 6:32 pm
Go to hell your idiot, Portugal has 12 million people, compared to other nations in europe like Italy 70 mil, England 50 mil, Germany 80 mil, France 65 mil, we have managed to put a player in the stand to receive the best player in the world award 5 times, best scorer in europe about 15 times, best scorer in the world about 6 times. don't talk about my country your moron. If you think he is the only one that plays well your dead wrong. You really pissed me off your piece of crap. If you recall the last world cup we placed in fourth..with 12 MILLION PEOPLE, your piece of cow dunk…
