If Messi isn't the best player of the season, I will honestly stop watching football. Iniesta might be the closest competitor with those unbeliveable passes, but Messi is the one to put those to the scoreboard.

anyone who thinks chelsea should be scared of barca is talkin rubbish, all this game shows is that real madrid cannot even defend their way out of a paper bag, and that if you take on the barca defence that you can create chances. Plus the chelsea back four and their midfield is more physical and combative that madrid. There are few times that I have seen poetry expressed this way as today… it was a dance, Madrid had no chance. The most humiliating part… is that it was in the Bernabeu!! again… like that 3 – 0 a couple of years ago, by the hand of Dinho!… today was a gift, a gift of what the game is the beautiful game… now, Chelsea… yeah, they are strong… but they don play with the flare, pride and beauty that Barza showed today… we'll see what happens on Wed. hopefully they dont park the bus again in front of the goal… hopefully they play some football and not kick around the ball along with the players… hopefully it is a good game, and Barza wins…

bla…bla…bla.. i support both chesea and barca (with a little bias on chelsea). so that makes me almost neutral regarding this matter. don't really care which one of them go through. may be there's one or two things of what ur saying is true. i agree that barca got the best offense but to say they also have the best defense is not really true. many team couldnt score against barca because they are magnificent in keeping possession and attacking so their defense never really in pressure, not that their defense is good. we couldn't judge that since theoretically there is no other team in this world that can break their possession at this moment.

i totally ignore the fact that keeping possession is part of the defense in my comment. so i'm sorry. what i really want to mention is their back four, because they are the defenders. they never really got tested. i also agree that in modern football, you play to win and entertain people and your fans. and barca did that really great and that's why i'm also one of their million fans. however, as a chelsea fan too, i understand why chelsea play the way they did last tuesday. you want to win this competition named European Champions League. and you also know how fearful barca is at camp nou. so why must you kill your chance in the first leg by doing some foolish attacking knowing 5-2 or 4-0 in first leg will not get you anywhere (proven by bayern and lyon)?? yes i admit barca is really good in passing and scoring. but a game name football is not just about that. it is also about TACTICS. and that is why chelsea and last year winner MU play boring defense at camp nou.

Seriously barca fans shouldnt get too over excited with the result. Sure Madrid is a great team but honestly for this year's season you cannot compare Madrid to any of the big 4 in the EPL. EPL is just better and tougher (at least for now). Just wait till wednesday night before judging chelsea's attacking power at Stamford Bridge. In that way you guys won't be too dissapointed if Barca lose which I'm sure Chelsea is a capable of doing.

For me, this game just goes to show that Chelsea were wrong in lacking ambition at the Nou Camp and not trying to get an away goal, and thinking that Barça were a less attacking team when playing abroad. Barça doesn't even need to win, a draw with goals is enough.
I don't get how Chelsea defended at the Nou Camp with 10 players and say that they approached the game humbly because of Barça's attacking power, and now you're so certain of victory after they demolished Real at the Bernabeu lol

This was no master-class. Real's tactical set up and defending was shocking. If that is the second best team then the Spanish league has fallen way behind the premiership. I expect to watch Chelsea, the third best term in England, ease past Barcelona, perhaps even comfortably.
