Arsenal's brand of football is always a joy to watch, but in their semi-final 1st leg against Man U, they appeared uncertain in their passing, while Man U were both sweet and sharp in going forward. Arsenal players took too long to build up their moves in front of goal, but Man U were always fast and dangerous near the goal mouth.
If this situation continues into the 2nd leg, I am afraid Arsenal will again be without a trophy this season.
I am an Arsenal fan, by the way.

Breathtaking football by United, well done. Almunia was really sharp last night, apart from the goal (and one dipping crossbar shot), he kept Arsenal in the game.
Gonna be a most interesting battle come 6 days' time!

lol oh please. ronaldo hit the post. and almunia is the one who's been keeping arsenal in it. giggs' goal was onside. and even Anderson's offside ruling wasn't that clear a call. why dont you say instead, that arsenal's lucky they got almunia back in time ahead of fabianski and that the officials made 2 wrong offside calls :)

The interesting thing i got from that game is the possibility that Utd might have to play at the Emirates without Rio at CB you remember how shaky they where with Evans in their before should be interesting seeing as Arsenal have not lost at the Emirates in the CL. i stil have a bit of hope but we have to go at them from the kick off

oh man…..utd baisically raped arsenal…..hey its ture (deny it all u want). the game should have ended 4 – 0 (the least)….ronaldo had another one of his amazzzzing crackers, can't believe it hit the cross bar.
Anyways, it will be a walk in the park at the arsenal house, and i think that man utd will keep them to 0 points regardless of rio coming back in time.

Wenger should know that playing with five midfielders and one striker does not work well for Arsenal. It sure as hell didn't work against Chelsea, so why use it again? Eduardo needs to start alongside Adebayor, with Fabregas and Song in midfield and Nasri and Walcott on the wings. Also, Diaby does not perform well in important matches.
Manchester United created a lot of chances but they couldn't finish any of them. The one goal they got was pretty lucky, in my opinion. The ball wouldn't have gotten to O'Shea if Silvestre were a competent defender.

I Hope Adebayor has learnt a good lesson … he wanted to silence the crowd at Old Trafford by Scoring a goal… I can bet all i have on united strikers silencing the crowd @ Emirates… the quality of football that they played today was par excellence…
and Regarding Rio's condition, you worry not my arsenal mate, we got the clean sheet record with practically a different back for in every game…
united need to score just one goal… and its game over for arsenal… they cant score 3 against united… even if united play their reserves!!

1234567890… Your Point is EXACTLY what i was saying, i dont undertstand why wenger keeps playing a 451 formation, he should realise that thats not arsenals style and diaby rlly irritates me on the pitch, he never gave any support to gibbs whatsoever and he didnt push up the wings which left arsenal very cramped in the middle of the park.
i absolutely agree that the formation should have been nasri on the left, walcott on the right and fabregas and song in the middle. the best way to defend is to attack!!! i hope they learn for the second leg.

And that's why for most of the match United were bullying Gibbs. Despite being a fabulous replacement for Clichy, Gibbs is still pretty inexperienced and he had no one to help him defend. In all the matches Diaby has played in, I've never seen him come that far back to help defend. Nasri, Fabregas and Song do it, but never Diaby.

Almunia was fantastic. Utd deserved to win the game, they played much better but I think in the next game we will show them the real arsenal.

Well I'm a United fan and inspite of admitting I love the rivalry that we and Arsenal share, I still like the way they play (except that they only have 2 english players in their first team) and I still can see what a threat they pose at the Emirates since we didn't finish the game off yest.
Well United could and should have scored more, true Almunia was sharp but i think Ronaldo should have done better with his first half header. The ref gave the benefit of the doubt to Silvestre as Giggs rounded Almunia but it was tight, and that plus the Welbeck penalty call at Wembley should silence all those who are still ranting about the penalty against Tottenham …
Decent all-English semi in the end :)

Like my 7 hardcore Arsenal friends who were game enough to visit the United cafe, great friends to be with! (Somehow, Arsenal fans are the greatest to hang out with, is my experience. Especially with their vitriol against Spurs, can get quite entertaining :D)
