Chelsea Fan | April 19th, 2009 @ 10:16 pm
Yep, I too was shocked when I saw the MU lineup ….
it was disrespect to Everton, glad they won it!!!
Now go Chelsea!!!
David_Moyes | April 19th, 2009 @ 10:57 pm
Alex Fergurson is my fellow Scottish buddies, so he gave chance to my team by fielding youth/reserve players… Also by letting defenders like Ferdinand, Vidic take penalties instead of strikers/forwards like Danny Welbeck, Federico Machenca, Tevez..
Thanks Fergie, Everton owe you one!
Moe.bawab | April 19th, 2009 @ 11:13 pm

HAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….the true colors are showing, one of the most coveted cups in English history and SAF looses the semi..It goes to show how lucky they where with FCporto…they are getting burried in thei excessive confidence and back of the scene dirty games, now the others are going to step on their heads even harder to finish burying them..

Its about time ManU has been stood up for something… Time for Chelsea to raise the FA Cup
erik luby | April 20th, 2009 @ 2:05 am
ooooh my! what was ferguson thinking…..where was rooney, nani and ronaldo.for GOD SAKE that was FA SEMI-FINAL.and another thing..defenders dont take penalty ahead of strikers.wat ferguson did today was injustice to the man-utd fans.chelsea had a very strong team.if this is what he is going to do then we are going to lose the remaining matches.NW IS THE TIME TO FIELD ALL THE STRONG PLAYERS.well as a man-u fan congrats to everton for thea win,and to all the man-utd fans lets keep our head up coz the best is yet to come.
MerV | April 20th, 2009 @ 2:10 am
Congratulations to Everton for the win, Tim Howard does well to save two penalties.
It was actually good exposure for the youngsters by Sir Alex, while preserving the need to concentrate on the League and the Champion's League. Well done lads for keeping Everton at bay – most of the credit goes to Vida and Rio again, as well as Ben Foster's heroics.
Strange, the appearance of another speck of dust again … and its strange command of the English language ;)
PT | April 20th, 2009 @ 2:46 am
Merv..Don't try to teach us the English language. You are far fetched from being a notable writer of your tongue..If your extremely poor appearance on this site, is to merely mock those that are in the glories celebrating the inadequacy of your team then f#%K off…Regardless of who was playing or not, you merely mention what happen on the field and your team’s manager lack of better judgment on the choice of players. The FA cup is known for its tradition and reunion of the true lovers of English football regardless of creed, colour or even so “team preference”.. Now to terminate my rant on you sorry existence, please do us all a favour the true experts of the game born in it, get lost and do not come back. We (minus you), love this game and do not mind picking on each other for our teams successes and failures, but you boy are nothing but racist maggot.

According to Rooney's contract, Everton get something like a five figure payout everytime Rooney scores against Everton. They also get money if Rooney does well in Man Utd, so it was in the interest of both clubs that he didn't play.
Darian | April 20th, 2009 @ 3:39 am
that was a huge mistake by sir alex but congrats to everton
MerV | April 20th, 2009 @ 4:25 am
Well Darian, it's debatable whether it's Fergie's mistake yeah? He had to prioritize given the upcoming Premiership battle – and perhaps think of United's next-generation squad too? – hence opting to blood his youngsters for Wembley (of all arena)… but yeah, his gamble backfired (of all people, “veterans” Berba and Rio had their penalties saved)
What to do, our once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a history-making Quintuple up in smoke … but at least we're still in for a quadruple haul? (5 if we include the Community Shield :) … COME ON YOU REDS!!!!! *thumbs up*
(hmm, another piece of pollen worth ignoring … dogs can continue to howl at the moon, but the moon will still continue to shine brightly ;)
Forever_United | April 20th, 2009 @ 4:37 am
It was a master move by the Sir Alex!! the referee screwed it up!!
when it goes on penalties, it all about luck…
With Liverpool waiting for another slip, it was right to rest a few regulars… and Young United played good football… this is the side we will see on a regular basis in the next few years… and they look in good shape!!
the priority is EPL and UCL… and FA Cup would have been a sweet addition to tally….
had united won this , people would have praised SAF for taking such a risk…
the young side showed character… 0-0 draw a good result…
MAN U SUX | April 20th, 2009 @ 4:37 am
lol… to man u fans : dont blame this and that..
u know what? bcuz Man United SUX!!!
ahhahha
MerV | April 20th, 2009 @ 4:43 am
Forever_United: true, even Sir Alex concurs with ya:
“We had a team picked after Wednesday’s game, but when I saw the pitch yesterday I didn’t want to go into extra time with our strongest squad,” Ferguson said. “We had to take the bold decision of going with the younger ones with energy, confidence and a good temperament. This club is built on giving younger players opportunities, they got that today and didn’t disappoint. “

As usual, I've full faith that we'll do what champions always do: bounce back after a setback. We move on, we'll go marching on on on! *cheer*
MAN U ROX! | April 20th, 2009 @ 5:54 am
HAHA!!! so what happen to quintuple baby?
oh my. over confident? arrogant? what happen to rooney's fire-up comments?

Manchester United did us proud. It was virtually our second team there, and Everton had to work their socks off, despite having a near-full-strength team. In the end it was their Lescott-Jagielka partnership that earned them the win.
Rafael, Fabio, Gibson, Welbeck & Macheda all contributed awesome touches at times … touches that the evertonians with all their experience at no time put together like our lads did.
My only disappointment was Rio missing d penalty, he always scores usually, but what the heck penaly is a lottery and I ain't gonna take it out on SAF or the Reds, for me they did us proud, and we now have our starstudded first team fit and ready to go to at least retain the PL and CL.
Well played Everton btw :)

“and now the season is over for manchester”
haha you clearly have the IQ of a cornflake, wait til we win the league and champions league you fuckin tool
Barcelona Fan | April 20th, 2009 @ 9:30 am
wow.. the haters come out in droves when united lose…
doesn't surprise me when their fav teams all all scrapping for relegation spots
MerV | April 20th, 2009 @ 10:36 am
Hi Barcelona fan, yup agreed with ya. I also get quite bemused by those loser attitudes. (Occasionally entertaining, but mostly irritatingly juvenile. I mean, what's their problem man, isn't football meant to build bridges?)
Anyway, I'll be looking forward to a United-Barca final if it happens, I think it'll be a wonderful showcase for great football eh? UEFA would get the publicity they crave for *grin*

chelsea fan | April 20th, 2009 @ 10:37 am
well yes you can now HOPE for retaining PL and CL coz it wont be too easy for them this time… teams like chelsea and liverpool are just waiting for one bad game from man utd. and if once man utd lost, then noway dey can get bak to retain PL atleast.
but still hope they do win their games but as per past few games, they were not playing as they really do..
keep praying for man utd. wins…
all da best..
chelsea fan | April 20th, 2009 @ 10:39 am
whats the point of experimenting when you are playing SEMI FINAL? its totally strange, shows no respect to FA CUP that means?..
MerV | April 20th, 2009 @ 11:14 am
Don't worry dude, that piece of cornflake probably meant “Manchester City's season is over” *grin*… I agree that the IQ doesn't cover the difference between shades of red and blue too.
*heh heh heh*
jose | April 20th, 2009 @ 12:00 pm
arsenal v barcelona will be better final. both teams play best football henry agasint his old club, messi best player in the world. would be much better then cry baby ronaldo trying to make sex with referee in front of dudek.
Josiah | April 20th, 2009 @ 12:10 pm
Man U are going to bottom out… The CL is all Barca's now! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH *more obnoxious laughter* MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
joka | April 20th, 2009 @ 3:28 pm
dude, CHILLAX
I don't think he means us any harm
me | April 20th, 2009 @ 4:42 pm
As much as i would love to see Ars vs Barca.. seriously… If arsenal make it to the final they will get thrashed.
Both fixtures would be Fantastic. But i would prefer the world to See a match with The likes of Berbatov, Rooney, Ronaldo and Giggs, Scholes, Ferdinand vs Messi, Eto's, Henry, Iniesta, Xavi and Puyol..
now try and match us up with Arsenal in that same fashion… I sense annihilation
me | April 20th, 2009 @ 4:44 pm
they already have what 2 trophies?… i think the league will still be theirs..
me | April 20th, 2009 @ 4:49 pm
Honestly i was a B squad on the pitch for united.. and everton barely clawed it out and .
Shootouts are about luck..
Notes:
berbatov? oh my. what was he thinking
The season is nearing and the pressure is building.. either laziness or mental fatigue are taking tolls on United forms.
Unlike everton who have what else to worry about other then this competition.. ? excatly
thats the point of cups.. if ur team cant win the league and the league leaders clearly are stretched thin due to alternate competitions this gives smaller clubs a chance to eak out accomplishments other then shooting for table spots…
jose | April 21st, 2009 @ 12:13 am
yet arsenal are able to beat manchester easily with bendtner diaby up front………lol
