Peter schmeichel is THE best in history. Oliver Kahn was near as good as Schmeichel.
just because one goal keeper is saing something else dosent mean everyone dose. i think if you take a vote Schmeichel would win.

Out of everyone I know only 2 people say anyone other than Oliver Kahn was the best. The 2 people who think someone else was better both think it's Schmeichel and both were huge Manure fans. I like Kahn better, but when it's choosing the best ever I'm not really sure there is any way to actually compare them as Schmeichel was undoubtedly a beast as well.

Schmeichel had the flare, the shouting, the big red nose, and a brilliant goalkeeping style.

honestly, if kahn would have played in the EPL all of you would choose him. no doubt, schmeichel is one of the greatest of all times, but, that's my opinion, kahn was slightly better.
by the way, both are friends. one time kahn said both of em could chat over the whole field during a game because they shout that loud.

I think both Schmeichel and Kahn were brilliant goalies. I can't really decide which one is better. In terms of individual and team honors they're pretty much equal, although Kahn was considered the best player at the 2002 World Cup, but the people who vote for that are morons. Anyways, i think at the end of it all Casillas will be considered the best ever. He's been the number 1 for Real Madrid since he was 18 years old, the number 1 for Spain since he's 21, and he's still only 27 and seems to be getting better each year.
