TORRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jm | February 1st, 2009 @ 9:22 pm
Where are those people who were saying that the title race was between Chelsea and Man U only??? HA! What a way to come back down to reality, Liverpool left Chelsea in blank and the title will be ours!!!!!
Master | February 1st, 2009 @ 9:48 pm
Im sorry but it is only between Chelsea and Man U (and maybe today the ref!)
manuman | February 1st, 2009 @ 10:01 pm
Thanks so much for videos. I think this year's title race is between Man U and Liverpool. Let's see how Liverpool's performance changes after this winning.
Wenger | February 1st, 2009 @ 10:01 pm
Liverpool bought the referee..
This match was decided even before kickoff…
mrs. footy | February 1st, 2009 @ 10:05 pm
I cant wait for Fred's motd !! thanks in advance will stay up until it shows up.
Wayne | February 1st, 2009 @ 11:03 pm
wow, honestly as much as i enjoy getting to see chelsea redcarded, but this one lampard touched the ball first before xavi, and xavi was retarded enough to run out. What a crucial call that was. W/o lampard, liverpool just dominated rest.
Such one decision cost the game.
daniel | February 1st, 2009 @ 11:06 pm
first adebayor and now lampard. both for bullcrap fouls, if fouls at all…
its certainly fishy.
i wouldn't be surprised if there is some referee money floating around.
cause adebayors play wasn't even a foul and neither was this play by lampard.
absolutely horrible that chelsea had to lose because of that.
horrible
i knoooooooooooooow | February 2nd, 2009 @ 1:17 am
WOW CAN't believe what loosers can come up with to excuse chelsea….this isn' t some sport where you dive and kill the other player…lampard deserved that and he knows it. U Should too. don't come up with excuses for a loss. Man u beat them and now liverpool…..u might evern lose to arsenal now..lol
littledevil | February 2nd, 2009 @ 1:32 am
absolutely correct!! :)
Paul | February 2nd, 2009 @ 1:42 am
If you want to show yourself to be knowledgeable about the game you might want to get his name right. It is Xabi Alonso and not Xavi. What does “retarded enough to run out” mean in English?
I suspect the red-card was for recklessness and having his studs up. As well as being high. Getting the ball first is irrelevant in that case. That being said it was harsh and Gerrard was probablt guilty of the a very similar offence minutes earlier.
Jawbreaker | February 2nd, 2009 @ 3:52 am
wow
John | February 2nd, 2009 @ 4:01 am
Lampard doesn't deserve the red card as much as Gerrard… Imagine if Gerrard was to sent off first!
luke | February 2nd, 2009 @ 4:35 am
You really can't claim the loss solely on Lampard's red card, shady as it might have been. Chelsea had something like 3 shots to Liverpool's ~15, Cech's goalkeeping was suspect, and Bosingwa was lucky to not get sent off. Alex and the crossbar saved Chelsea from complete embarassment (credit to Alex, he had a tremendous game).
yardizzle | February 2nd, 2009 @ 4:36 am
IF liverpool bought the ref then how did he miss the studs in the back? okay not one real issue has been addressed how does keane not make the squad? Benitez the worst manager in the prm possibly. At least lucas didn't play, but how kuyt can is in incredable to be, he works and he is all industry but u need at least some skill to back that up wit. GERRARD maybe a bit fortunate but lampard he knows that u cant tackle like that, studs up high and CAUGHT THE PLAYER, unlike Gerrard's. LAmpard also a terrible lunge.
yardizzle | February 2nd, 2009 @ 4:41 am
The total shot count was 26 to liverpool and 5 to chelsea! that includes off target, Londoner's always get the benifit, as do united, Graham poll adressin bias. ” YOu have to not only the call but the conciquences after, you look at the play, is he an international , does he play for united or a london club, if he dos the FA will undermine ur call,” from this it is obvious to see that even a former top level offical can state that the londoners get it better, so no pathetic chelsea fans, i geuss, ur team was just outclassed by a better liverpool team, not that benitez had a choise in it
walrusgumboot | February 2nd, 2009 @ 5:40 am
Did any of you Chelsea supporters watch the match? Even at full strength you were never in it. I felt that Lampard was hard done by, but Bosingwa shouldn't ever be allowed on a pitch again. That foot in Benayoun's back was one of the most despicable things I have ever seen on a football pitch. And Reilly should be suspended for not sending him off and for waiving off the assistant who was shaking the flag like a drowning man. Liverpool deserved the points, period. All you Chelsea supporters need to get a clue.
hanghang | February 2nd, 2009 @ 5:51 am

what a stupid act did by bosingwa!
he is an arrogant brainless lame creature!

good game, but my goodness, what was going on with the refs with the Lampard call and the Bosingwa non-call. how bad do you have to be to get those wrong?

Dumbs. | February 2nd, 2009 @ 10:59 am
For those people who said that Lampard should not hav a card, u r seriously dumb, can't u see Lampard was going for the person instead of the ball? The ball just accidentally went for his feet. He didn't complain too, if he really got accused, he should have argued with the referee. Nobody who got accused will not care. For u guys saying the referee aren't fit to be a referee, try to be a referee then, I personally think that's a good decision by referee.
For the Bosingwa's part, Bosingwa should have a red card, if not, at least a yellow card for kicking Benayoun's back, that was so intentional, I think the referee was blind on this challenge though.
To add on, I feel Torres has found himself back after bundles of injury, good job Torres.
Luqy | February 2nd, 2009 @ 11:50 am
Wat a performance we just outplayed Chelsea
I mean Torres
El Nino showed how the real business is done
anonymous | February 2nd, 2009 @ 1:53 pm
I agree the red card of Lampard was too harsh, and Bosingwa should have received one instead.
Liverpool deserved the win nonetheless. Chelsea was totally outplayed the whole match. They got what, like 1 shot from Kalou the whole game. So please don't say referee helped Liv to win.
MM | February 2nd, 2009 @ 6:00 pm
Torres just rocked Chelsea. Liverpool for #1 spot in the Premiership at the end of the season!
i knoooooooooooooow | February 2nd, 2009 @ 6:17 pm
it dosn't matter if you get the ball or not ….it was a dangerous play because he could have broken the guy's leg; if there was a hard injury then you guys wouldn't have been arguing. I also think gerrard should of been booked for his challange.
Steveo | February 2nd, 2009 @ 6:56 pm
I figured that kind of *hit was on possible in the Italia Series A….. terrible red card…. made me sick to my stomach… Liverpoo badly outplayed Chelsea (yes, i spelt it LIVERPOO), but that awful red card didn't help Chelsea at all…
jm | February 2nd, 2009 @ 9:06 pm
Man, that red card was very well deserved! This is football not kung-fu, seriously! That was dangerous.
albert | February 2nd, 2009 @ 10:29 pm
this game was bull. liverpool paid the refs
lamps card wasnt a red, not even a foul
alonso should join the theater
and torres first goal was set up by gerrard
to aurelio then crossed to torres. and gerrard
should have been off with that challenge on kalou
albert | February 2nd, 2009 @ 10:30 pm
your an idiot. go learn soccer before you talk about it.
if you think lamps precise tackle on alonso was a foul
your a completely idiot.
did you not see gerrards challenge on kalou?
BluesFan | February 3rd, 2009 @ 3:33 am
MIKE RILEY IS COMPLETELY INCAPABLE OF REFEREEING A GAME, ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE DISGRACE THAT IS THE OFFICIATING IN THE PREMIERSHIP. STRAIGHT RED FOR GETTING THE BALL AND GETTING KICKED. HOW EXACTLY IS A CLEAN SLIDE TACKLE SUPPOSED TO LOOK. WHAT A JOKE. WORST OFFICIALS IN THE GAME ARE IN ENGLAND. PERIOD.
jm | February 3rd, 2009 @ 4:38 am
It's called Football, not soccer.
JK | February 3rd, 2009 @ 4:42 am
IDIOT it DOES matter if you get to the ball fist or not, didn't you hear the commentataors saying Benayoun (is that his name) should feel guilty also he kicked into Lampard even though Lampard got to it first making it look like it's dangerous….the ref must've been blind or something….Lampard DEFINITELY did not deserve that red…i'm not a Chelsea fan anyway but….that sucks
i knoooooooooooooo | February 3rd, 2009 @ 4:51 am
hey “JK” go fuk urself asshole….u fukin pig….i don't care what the commentator said. What if lampard got the ball …then continued his presure and snapped the guy's legs in half…then u would be saying something else. IDIOT…can't spell.
Mowno | February 3rd, 2009 @ 7:50 am
If you want to get bitchy about it, it is 'Association football'. You have to deal with the fact that it is called 'soccer' in some parts of the world. You must be an insecure person about this game if you correct others about calling it 'soccer' or 'football'.
About the match. It doesn't make a difference, the game ended how it did. The result is there, get over it.
jm | February 3rd, 2009 @ 9:03 am
yeah, Liverpool won, now get over it.
Logic thinking | February 3rd, 2009 @ 9:39 am
Lampards tackle was completely idiotic as he saw Gerrard being warned about a tackle of that risk and the referee gave that warning to ALL the players to not tackle in such a dangerous manner. It doesn't matter if it was Lampard or Torres ( as an example ) who tackled like that, he would have red carded them for not listening to Gerrards warning, thus implying Lampards tackle as a second offence. I completely support the referees decision
fifa | February 3rd, 2009 @ 6:48 pm
k everyone i have a say in this as a united fan so dont like neither side but heres the facts
liverpool won obviously
lampard got a red card but it wasnt a red card tackle maybe not even a yellow, alonso also jumped over and lampard got the ball
even now the card ban has been lifted and the ref is under new training
fact liverpool owned them throughout posesion and destroyed them on the pitch
now if u wanna complain i think bosingwa is the best case because that is a red but not for fat lamp
daniel | February 4th, 2009 @ 5:47 am
manu fans aren't allowed a say in the matter. haha…
kry | February 4th, 2009 @ 6:55 pm
Poor officiating.. Gerrad's tackle had mal intent he missed the ball and he should have been carded, and ontop of that he showed dissent and only received a warning. Lampard's tackle was all ball and he got a red. I assume Bosingwa is going to be banned for some time for that stupid tackle he made
kelvin | February 5th, 2009 @ 2:32 am
seriously guys i watch the whole match and liverpool totally destroy chelsea even before lampard got sent off. even if lampard red card decision is wrong, i'm sure bosingwa should get a red card right? dosent that make chelsea back to 10man =.= even worse, 1 less defender. i bet if bosingwa get red card, u guys will be”benanyoun is at fault…….. blah blah blah”
waqar | February 14th, 2009 @ 12:42 pm
