definetly the most talented team in football at the moment. here in barcelona we love arsenal and the way the team plays. arsenals style is very similar to barcelonas and i hope the gunners will win the premiership this year. if barca wins not the champions lkeague than hopefully arsenal will win it cause they deserve it and deserve respect for their good working staff and talent scouting all around the world. vela could be the next messi and walcott is allready a star who could become the best english player in the next years. such a joy to watch them play. go gunners!!!
Jenks | September 23rd, 2008 @ 8:55 pm
Great result for the Gunners, nice to see Wilshere on the score sheet but I’m not sure about Sheff Wednesdays keeper, most of those should have been saved IMO.
Oli | September 23rd, 2008 @ 8:57 pm
Brilliand Squad :-” They played very confident. Wenger is on the target as usual on picking up young players. Vela’s second goal was top class. He is left footed, asuming from left foot shot on the third goal. He has nice body balance. He is future of Arsenal. He reminds me young Cesc Fabregas. Respect to Arsenal!!!!!!!!!

Just watched it, and from a big gunners fan thats partially true…They all seemed to be at him, although sometimes if they are hit with enough power no keeper can save them, but he probably should have kept at most 2 out…good result by the boys, 2 of velas first goals were world class though, he should teach adebayor how to finish like that :S

bla bla bla…. too mad gunners cant do this to a tier 1 opponent ever. They even lose to bottom table teams (see fulham). Young Gunners are great if they can play sheffield every night. That goalie was a disgrace. Bendtner cant do a thing against any decent defenders (see carvalho see terry) GO CHELSEA!!!!

post #18 – Vela will never go to man u. Wenger will raise him and earn his loyalty to arsenal just like he has done with fabregas and walcott and so many others.
post #22 – Bluesfan are you jealous?? I know you are really.. Arsenal are getting results through raw talent picked out by a world class manager. No billionaire behind us. I do understand you might need to try and seek attention at the moment as you have have just been overshadowed by man city who are now about 500 billion richer than you..

What do your pretty posers have to show for in the last few seaons.
You won as many trophies as Fulham. EFFALL! and will end up with EFFALL AGAIN this season.
Wait till January when your poor babies will be getting to cold to go outside and play football and you disappear into mid table mediocrity.

I’m a Sheffield United (not W*******y as someone suggested) and was at the game last night. What a lesson in football that was. Great squad, great passing and superb finishing. Bias aside, I thought the second goal was well offside but regardless, it was horrible to watch from where we were and must have been beautiful for you. Well done.

ShaneG | September 24th, 2008 @ 10:15 am
Arsenal probably have the most talented squad in Europe right now and when teams try and play open football with them it doesnt work and the arsenal destroy. But when the going gets tough and teams like Fulham get rough and grind results out of you then I’m afraid to say it will be another trophyless season for you gunners. Losing flamini and Gilberto could prove costly as Arsenal now only have flair players with little experience and no one to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Wenger should take a leaf out of Fergies book and invest in a solid holding midfielder.

That was too easy- Sheff united must really suck to let a 16 year old have an uncontested shot. I agree Arsenal needs to put out that squad against a quality opponent and then I’ll be impressed.

Ég fyllist einhverri innri ró og vellíðan þegar að ég sé mörk nr. tvö og fjögur - það er eitthvað svo fallegt að horfa á hæfileikaríka ,,unglinga” fara illa með fullorðna spýtukalla. Hey Zed, who the f do you support mate? Spuds? Maure? Chelski? doesnt really matter your hatred and envy is showing thru nicely. If youre a manure fan what can I say? congrats for having Cuntnaldo on your team last season. If youre chelski then congrats for having a russian sugar daddy to make you a “big” club. And if youre a spud which is what I suspect then all there really is to say is :)), 16.5mill for daren bent? 15 mil (half of which went to us) for david bently?? congrats on having dos santos, hes nice, just not the biggest mexican prodigy in north london. Ohh and a question for any spuds out there. What does a trianlge have that you dont? Three points. Good evening. Up the Gunnersl.^:)^

Fancy that, Vela and Wilshire are both left footed, perhaps that, and a low centre of gravity make it difficult to challenge them as a result, but what finishing. This is a perfect system, not about buying the most expensive player, but about buying fundamentally good players, and giving them the opportunity to become great players,
how will Arsene be able to keep all these players at the club if they cannot break through? A wonderful embarrassment of riches. It’s quite an irony Arsenal have become beautiful footballs top ‘feeder’ club.
YID4LIFE | September 25th, 2008 @ 3:41 am

To be fair, if you control the entire game and still get dicked on 6-0, you’re not much of a team, are you ?
VELA IS BETTER! BENDTER SUCKS!
Criticising Bendtner is pathetic! He has had to put up with prejudice in the first team, he is thankfully he hasn’t asked to leave.
Yours is a bunk comment, luckily Wenger knows what he’s doing, if knee-jerk verdicts like this impacted on squad selection we’d be in tottenham’s woeful position – actually I think more Newcastle’s position where the fans would be staying away and calling for a management and owners to leave… Vela is young, Arsenal have played well in most previous Carling Cups in recent history, but even when in one match they are blinding, the next they might struggle and perhaps lose. So try to stay a little less daft in the meantime, just cos they won.. 1-0 would have been just as meaningful – and Bendtner scoring it would have really made your comment show how wrong you are
Zed | September 25th, 2008 @ 8:41 am
