Portugal look good going forward, but they look a mess at the back. From set pieces they were all over the place and Ferreira can’t play left back to save his life, any decent right winger will make a mug of him. I can’t see the Portuguese keeping the Germans out if they keep defending this way.

True the defense wasn’t at perfection. Bosingwa, despite his talent, made a couple of costly mistakes. Ferreira didn’t look comfortable with his position. I would like to see Miguel play. However, Pepe was a BEAST.

..we, portugal, need to organize in defense and avoid other teams to always aim to the head of their forwards/strikers! we have that small fail but the transaction to the atack are great in portugal, we are doin that suberbably and we should focus on that to surprise even the tactical perfect germany team!

As a whole, I think the match was pretty much dominated by the Portuguese with their excellent pin-point passing and crosses. It’s hard to see the Czech holding the ball really. But it seems like the Portuguese defence were slacking at some point of the game and it costs them a goal. It’s okay I think.They were in an offensive mode afterall.

Speaking of that, attacking wise, Portugal really have the edge and can score many more goals in matches to come. They are indeed fast and quick thinking. Other teams must begin to think how to surpass that special capability Portugal has.

The Czechs on the other hand, were simply deadly when it comes to set pieces and free kicks. Their counter attacks were finely played and their defence was also quite okay as they managed to hold Portugal to a deadlock for almost 40 minutes in the game. Special praise for them!

simao shouldnt take the free kicks ever…only deco, ronaldo, or quaresma. this was a great match but id like to see quaresma’s impact from the start of a match instead of the 80th minute.

a portugal-holland final would be incredible and its also the same match that nike showed in their take it to the next level commercial.

i dont want to crush your ideas but cristiano ronaldo is facking pissoff….yes he has some skills but cmon….he is just showing off to the press and is caught in not only one orgies…is a bisexual and more and more….he is a freak….ronaldinho is much more greater than him…his passion while he plays….he always enjoys the game no matter twhat the score is….when he gets back on foot he will kick the shit out of ronaldo…..

its not offside if the offensive player is behind the ball when its passed… it doesn’t matter that he was beyond the last defender, he was behind the ball when it was passed so he is onside… look it up if you don’t believe me.

and people are jumping to Ronaldo’s defense because the haters will never shutup. the guy got a goal and assist and yet people still say he plays bad. if he scores 3 goals they say he doesnt pass and get assists… and vice versa. its getting old.

If Ronaldo is the best player of the world we will see but Ronaldinho??? Cmon… that guy only made 2 good seasons at PSG and another 2 good seasons at Barcelona and like Ronaldo he has too much show off and diving. No one of these two is even comparable with Zidane or Figo. These two made over 15(!) seasons at top level… but Ronaldo is still very young!
