Eduardo – A Tribute

This video has been long overdue. We had to wait for a worthy tribute compilation to honor a player of Eduardo’s caliber. Thanks to ArmiRvP is it now available.

Hey,
nice video and all, but let’s all be honest. The lad’s a great fella into the bargain, blessed with great potential…. that’s it, only great potential and nothing that he has achieved… YET. So, let’s not get carried away and make this effort into something more of a joke. The guy who made this video is good at what he does, but risk embarassing himself when he calls this a TRIBUTE to EDUARDO!!!!
Come on, Footytube should know of what value is deserving on the web, not anyone who fancies making a video compilation and gets it posted… set the standards… something which can still be considered realistic and not way out of proportion!
During the clip, all we see is him smiling and running, scoring a few goals here and there…. and even missing!! I mean, do sthg with Vieri, Ibrahimovic, and the other greater players! More goals scored in the video shows us a proof of what a great player he can be and also what he can do, thus proving that he is a great player! Not this YET! Pls, be honest and not succumb to your affection and bias of the player.
IT’s like saying “Tribute to James Beattie or Emile HEskey”!! Heck heskey has even more reputation and experience and probably has scored more career goals even!!! So, pls put things into perspective and respect the word TRIBUTE is – HONOUR and acknowledgement for one’s achievements, not a preemptive introduction!
Cheers,
Anselm

Dude, #1, you can make a tribute to anybody, a tribute does not mean the person has to have been playing for a gazillion years… **** i can make a friggin tribute to myself if i want to… but #2, and more importantly, Eduardo is an excellent player who got this injury during the time when had become a consistent player with an influential role in his team and he was needed in front with Adebayor because, unlike Adebayor, he has a softer, more controlling touch on the ball… and #3, WE LOVE EDUARDO…. so **** off

Anselm I get what you’re saying but theres a message in this video which makes it even better than a plain compilation/tribute video. Alan Hansen and that dog Lawrence are idiots for what they said, martin taylor should’ve been beaten up for his tackle. Completely late, studs showing, not even reckless, it was with intent to cause harm to a player, that’s why he didn’t withdraw his legs after contact with eduardo.
Plus Eduardo achieved a lot so far, so shut up.

Anselm, some things are better left unsaid. Clearly you missed the whole point of the video- tragedy struck a very talented player. He contributed to Arsenal while on the pitch, and his departure was the turning point for Arsenal’s season.

Eduardo is a very talented player. Hopefully he can recover. All this nonsense about Taylor needs to stop. Eduarado, the guy who was the victim, has said it was an unfortunate accident and said Taylor visited him in the hospital and that he accepts his apology. If Eduardo, the guy who this happened to, says its an accident…then its an accident. Im not gonna listen to what everyone thinks happened sitting in front of their TVs. He was there, he was the victim, he has more perception than anyone else on this incident, and for me his word is final.

United fan here.. Eduardo is definitely one of the best finishers in the league and it was a waste he went.. the race probably would have been different now.. hope he gets well soon and start putting them goals away once again!

You seem to think by your last choice of song that Taylor did it deliberately but he didn’t. Yes he was late but to say he should be beaten up etc is completely ridiculous. Supporters like you lot give football a bad name!!

the tribute’s great, but there are more tributes on this website than highlights, at least right when the matches end anyways- there are websites that have highlights just minutes after the match ends, or even right when the goal is scored…this website sucks

I will miss eduardo..and definitely his departure was the turning point for arsenal this season..I personally think that all arsenal players bore the burden of his departure. I think it must have tough for all the players to miss such a talent on field..
I will miss eduardo..and I don’t know if taylor did this deliberately or not but definitely his tackle wasn’t the right one..as a defender, you can never tackle a player this way..with your studs pointing to someone’s feet..especially when you already know from existing incidents.. One **** tackle and we will have to miss such a great footballing talent.. I hope his feet heels quickly..
And Anselm, tributes could also be made for people who would be missed…and moreover, eduardo has already achieved a lot for arsenal.. if taylor would have given a better chance, probably you would have seen arsenal winning the premier league..
Regards

i really think he was the bet finisher of this season. every 1v1, he scored. if he didnt get injured, arsenal would have crushed birmingham, beaten villa and wigan, and beaten chelski and united.
scouser | July 10th, 2008 @ 12:03 am | | |
…basically all his goals are from about 8 yards out…not so much skill….very overhyped…look at torres, van nistelrooy, huntelaar, rooney, owen, adebayor, all amazing goals from him
eduardo is not a lost he was just a overated player with 8 yard shots who can miss those lmao

Wow! Love this video. Nice tribute to a very good player and hope he can make it back to top form. Yes, Taylor is an absolute clod even if he wasn’t trying to cause harm and was only trying to trip Eduardo, he’s still guilty of extreme recklessness. Going in studs up and causing this kind of injury should be a 10 game suspension.
