Now I know there must be a reason Bendtner is still around. Maybe he’s just a nice guy who livens up the locker room. However there is no visible reason, to me, that Bendtner should be ahead of Walcott who seems to make a huge impact every time he comes on only to be shunted away to the wing to make room for the useless Bendtner. Ah well I’m a Mancunian so I couldn’t care less if Wenger persists in his foolishness but I’d love to see Walcott playing for a better team.
Regardless of the final result…What a beautiful soccer from Arsenal…Amazing Amazing…Bendtner, what the heck did you do? You should score 4 times in the second leg so we can forgive you. What’s up with the f u c ken referee? The assistant referee should if pointed out what happened and gave Arsenal a penalty kick.. Let me say that what happened to Milan will happen to Liverpool…
Bentner, you are f u c k ing amazing!
I can never think of someone who could do stunning like that!
you better pull your *** together and make sure Arsenal win the game against Liverpool.
United fan here - I am sure everyone agrees that Arsenal played a much better football but again you have to expect that from the home side and a team like Arsenal. Liverpool on the other hand, defended well, at times got lucky not only with Arsenal strikers defending liverpool goal but also with a referee decision. I believe if the referee was to get a chance to reconsider his decision, I think he would. It looked like a clear penalty to me.
As a united fan who enjoys attractive football, I am looking forward to the second leg. I think it is going to be a *******. Arsenal will be going there to win it and liverpool would try to get a goal as well to feel more safe and that should be sweet for us outsiders to watch. A lot of people are saying Liverpool got the edge but I don’t buy that. I think Arsenal got what it takes to drill out a win in this one.
I still would like to see the better team to win. A team that plays good football, attacks well, defends well and score goals.
Good luck you gunners and reds…(I bet you both are nervous… while we relax for the return leg )
lol…that goal line clearance from Bendtner just cracks me up..hehehe
Well Liverpool and Arsenal have proved that they can deliver.. could go either way. I sense desperation from Arsenal, attack FTW !! Liverpool will play boring defence or kick-the-ball-away tactic (as always).
i hate 3 ppl on my squad (arsenal)
diaby
bendter
and eboue
diaby cant play
eboue is clumbsy and cant pass
and bendter.. ***… u saw it…
my fav player for a while now has been walcott.. before he was anyone i knew he would be like the next owen.. look athim man.. explosive.. he goes on the field.. and boom!!!!
Poor Bendtner. It was really upsetting to watch that happen live, but I understand that he wasn’t able to get out of the way. He must feel terrible about it.
I agree with the comment about Walcott really boosting the team performance when he comes onto the pitch. We need to get him more playing time.
i’m not sure if u guys have noticed this, but some of arsenal’s players have an unbelievably high injury rate…. rosicky has been more injured than available during his time at arsenal, van persie seems to play 1 game and get injured for another 5 months, diaby gets injured alot, so do alot of the other reserves…. i think wenger should really be considering getting rid of them and buy new stronger well estabilished players… i feel hes being maybe a bit too cheap… i wud def like to see rosicky and van persie gone and perhaps have etoo and i donno another solid winger in…. god van persie tries to score the most beautiful technical goals ever, just put it in the back of the net….
btw, ithink william gallas right now is essential to the team, in my opinion hes doing a great job as the captain and a defender…. i dont see y ud hate him william?!
ArsenalFan1368, you are an idiot.
a few injuries to rosicky and van persie and you think they should be sold. you are quick to forget about van persies form before his injury which he will no doubt get back.
Liverpool’s attack are too direct, the moment they get the ball, they will hit it long for Torres who has been guard by the two big dog of arsenal. But you have to admire Dirk Kuyt. He’s the Man Of The Match for this game. Not that he scored a goal, but he’s effort is 110% more than any of his team mates. Return league will expect Torres to score. As he’s current goal streak is 7 on Anfield. Who knows, maybe Steven Gerrard will score a 25 yard pile driver again. Bet Liverpool for the Semi-finalist. Arsenals play are just too tired and ran out of sub!
in my opinion van persie is overrated and not fit anough to play competetive football in england, alos abit of a show off when it comes to finishing, and rosicky is just injured all the time… that s y id like to see them gone and replaced by more fit players….., or maybe wenger shud treat vanpersie the way sir alex treats saha, just have him in the background for emergencies….
Let me say that what happened to Milan will happen to Liverpool…
scoring 4 times in the return leg and that too Bendtner - are you in senses !! has any away team scored 4 goals in a CL quarter final till date
Bendtner actually wasn’t offiside as jamie carragher who was out of bounds at the time and skirtel played him on. Should of scored anyway.
Bendtner was offisde cos there needs to be 2 opposition players (GK considered a player) between the goalline and the attacking player. Both Adebayour and Carra were out of the field when the ball is played and that leaves only 1 defender -> Skrtel. So its offside.
Bendtner actually wasn’t offiside as jamie carragher who was out of bounds at the time and skirtel played him on. Should of scored anyway.

you know wot - the offside rule sucks …the defenders shd wear skirts for not defending and trying to claim offside
Many say that Liverpool will move on to the next stage in Champions League since they have the crucial away goal advantage but I beg to differ, If Arsenal play at Anfield the way they play at the Emirates I am certain they will produce and go through, hopefully Chelsea will loose and we will get to play the Turkish… on paper they definitely look like the easier to team to beat, especially compared to Liverpool and AC Milan. As far as this game goes… brilliant play by Arsenal, it is clear that the penalty should have been called, as far as Bendtner goes… the guy did try to get out of the way but was very unlucky, many criticize him but for some reason I have faith in the guy… although I do agree that at the moment Walcott is the much better player and needs more time on the pitch, it seems like every time he comes on he produces and always makes a very important contribution. Look at his pace, its pretty fantastic, especially in the Milan game the way he outran the defender from way back and delivered that superb cross for Adebayor, the kid has talent and definitely deserves to start, maybe in the next game they should bring Eboue to right-back and put Toure back to his normal position and have Walcott take the right wing or maybe replace the injured v.Persie upfront. I like v.Persie, I think he is a top class player but once again I do agree that he shouldn’t try to fancy it to much at the moment since it is very important to just put the ball in the net and especially since he is still not a 100%… he should wait until he is capable, and we know he is… he has produced some great goals for Arsenal and I don’t doubt that he will produce more of them once he is fully fit, next season perhaps. I’m sure Wenger will be looking to replace the injured Eduardo during the summer since we can only expect the Croatian striker to be back in December… November if we are lucky, and I’ve been hearing rumors that Wenger is trying to sign the young French striker/winger Hatem Ben Arfa from Lyon whom I think would be a great asset to the team, I doubt that we can sign Benzema since he just signed a new contract… so we might have to wait a year unless Man Utd get him first. There is another player I would love to see at Arsenal, I believe there might have been talks about him joining Arsenal last summer… Klass-Jan Hunterlaar, 24 years old Dutch striker, the guy has an amazing goalscoring record… I do not know when this was last updated but since the last time I checked he has scored 69 times in 86 appearances for Ajax and 6 goals for the senior Dutch National team in 11 appearances, 18 goals for the U21 Dutch National team in 22 appearances, and 34 goals in 46 appearances for SC Heerenveen (team he played for before moving to Ajax) I’m sure Wenger showed some interest in this player and I would love to see him play for us. Also I wouldn’t mind the signing of Marseille’s talented midfielder Samir Nasri, but I don’t think we have much problems in the midfield, well… unless Flamini departs but I doubt he will since he seems to be very anxious to sign a new contract, with that said I doubt Wenger will be bidding for him during summer time. And Rosicky… amazing player in my opinion but we definitely need him to show some progress with his recovery it is quite frustrating and disappointing how long it is taking him to get back on the pitch, hopefully next season will be different.
i think arsenal will win the next leg even though i hate them they a very good team and played great football i think liverpools champions league luck will end on Tuesday
