Coach Bradley is doing a great job. Go USA!

USA “soccer” team is a joke! Anyone who can play but can’t make their Native Country’s team is given a green card(citizenship) to play for USA……NO USA!
Will | March 27th, 2008 @ 4:46 pm
Nichol you are a joke. There was not one player on the entire roster who has been give a green cad or been naturalized. Every single player on the roster for yesterdays game was BORN IN THE UNITED STATES.
I’d ask you to name one player who was given citizenship to play soccer for USA.

I wonder why there’s so much booing when the US were taking set pieces. They were all decent goals and Poland didn’t show that much enthusiasm.
Overall, the game was not entertaining and the US scored decent goals. The commentary IS awful! They keep using the word “trajectory” as if there’s a specific science behind each free kick.

Correction Will, Feilhaber who came on in the 85th was born in Brazil. He was 6 when he arrived in the US and granted citizenship long before the US SOCCER program came knocking. That minor detail aside, with you I still concur. Nichol, you sir ARE a joke and should fact-check your paranoia before posting in a public forum such as this. Whilst your at it you may wish to look into the following names: Patrick Vieira, Owen Hargreaves, Eduardo da Silva… get back to us on what you find that they have in common ok now?
Ruffino | March 27th, 2008 @ 8:26 pm
Exactly, JD and Will. The world isn’t as stagnant as it was before and people can move around quite easily. Immigrants aren’t only flooding into the U.S. anymore, that’s for sure.
Will | March 27th, 2008 @ 8:32 pm
Oops, I forgot about him. Surprised he got into the game after the recent comments by Bradley about how he needs to “grow up”

good game usa. poland with their lazy defending.. no kusczack, etc. but the US has shown a lot of improvements in the recent years.

The USA have a great team, good spirit about them. I saw them play in the 2002 world cup and there aren’t many survivors but i think donovan when he is on his game can be a matchwinner.
Nichol | March 28th, 2008 @ 2:50 pm
i can assume that both Will and Jd are americans……..anyway I stand by what i said…THEY HAVE NO NATURAL TALENT..they’re programmed……..I love football but i’d rather read a book than watch the US play…..you guys spend so much time learning about players history…it’s a joke….can any of you even play this beautiful game or are you all commentators..(talk the game)
HOSS | March 28th, 2008 @ 4:39 pm
Nichol needs to stop beung discriminative against Americans. I play and I love football more than almost anything. Besides, the way England is playing they would probably lose to the USA despite having more talent.

it did look as though poland was very lax in the game. and why was kusczack a talking point? i’m a man utd fan as well, but artur buroc is a great keeper at celtic. I think he should have had the 3rd goal covered. he had his left hand almost touching the post, but couldn’t get down quick enough to stop the free kick. with the other 2, it was the defense that let buroc down. i’m sure you’ve all played and seen that a goalkeeper can’t always keep everything out, he needs help from his defenders, and buroc didn’t have any help in that game.
