Well Arsenal…I guess we just said goodbye to the EPL…we will be lucky if we end up second in the league…This result was totally expected…I didn’t expect that we would win Chelsea at all…at best I thought we would steal a draw….But guess what, it’s our mistake from the beginning….we were 5 POINTS ahead and we couldn’t keep this lead…if we were still 5 points ahead then who cares if we loose Chelsea… Us getting 4 draws in the last 4 games KILLED OUR HOPES…A team competing for this title should not settle down for a draw at this stage of the league (specially when playing average teams)…Bottom Line:
1) Thank you Arsenal for what you’ve done so far..beautiful soccer and amazing team..you guys have achieved more than what was expected from you..Good luck in next season’s EPL…between, Wenger has to look for a quality striker and mid-fielder to add to his team if he is thinking about seriously hunting for the title next season.
2) Congratulation Man-U for the title unless a miracle happens…but i don’t think our age is an age of miracles…
3) I am all up for Man-u to win the title..NO CHELSEA..NO CHELSEA…
4) Arsenal, we still have CL..please don’t blow it up as well..PLEASE!!!
Did anyone else think that it was utterly classless when Chelsea took advantage of Arsenal playing it out for the injured Chelsea player? It was not in the highlights so you had to watch that part of the game. Here is a recap of what happened. Joe Cole stays down after a tackle forcing him to give up the ball, Arsenal is on the counter attack in control of the ball 35 yards outside Chelsea’s goal. Arsenal player plays the ball out, Cole almost immediately gets up. Chelsea throws in ball to Terry who kicks it out of bounds less than 5 yards from Arsenal’s corner flag then puts high pressure on them. Arsenal can’t clear from their own half, give up free kick and Chelsea scores their second goal from off that free kick.
I just think that the Chelsea team showed no class when Arsenal give up a good counter attacking chance to play the ball out for the injured Chelsea player (which I thought was top class), then Chelsea takes advantage and instead of giving the ball back to Arsenal’s GK, they pin them deep in their own half. Any thoughts?
Otherwise, I did not think Arsenal played well enough to win, but they definitely did not deserve to lose on an offside goal and off a play that showed no class and I think has no place in football.
kolohe- yeah, the chelsea players have a tendency to be a little classless. i remember at OT we kicked it out for them and they just took it and attacked us.
#1: Really nice, GAYdebayor. If you want someone hurt that bad, you must be an Arsenal fan. Remember Eduardo da Silva? Apparently not, or you wouldn’t wish the same on someone else.
#2: kohole…just remember that another word for classless is “Arsenal”. What’s up with Eboue getting in Ballack’s face on a play that didn’t even involve him? This, of course, was just shortly after Eboue didn’t give 10 yards on a free kick - now THAT is class, huh?
#3: I can’t wait to hear all the excuses you Gooners come up with for this one. It’s amazing how, when you lose, you have a million BS excuses and yet you still think the team that just beat you sucks.
7 games left…keep playing the way you have been and you might even lose your top 4 spot…and I will laugh, laugh, laugh. And good luck in the UCL… you punks don’t stand a chance against Liverpool, you North London *********.
U Arsenal fans can twist it anyway you want, sour grapes I guess. Chelsea totally deserved the win, we had the best chances and you are lucky Drogba didn’t have a hatrick.
im a man utd supporter and i became a drogba fan today, congrats to chelsea for the win today and putting a foot on aresenals neck, look foward to the match next month.
Why dont u stop crying u little girl. Take it like a man and face the facts that arsenal destroyed their season against birmingham and wigan and borough. How do you expect to beat the giants at the bridge. It was only a matter of time. And classless is when gunners have 1 goal lead, half their team lies down and cries injury. and when we score 2 on you. idiot ref adds like 7 minutes for the time arsenal themselves wasted by obviosuly imitating and exagerating injjureis. Wenger cries too much, so do arsenal fans.

Must there be so many stupid people all ready to taunt others? The only classless people I see are the slaggers on this comments section. Football doesn’t need you, GTFO. People are enjoying the game here.
classless is the “Jose Mourinho” chant minutes before Drogba scored to tie it up. i miss that guy too as a neutral. but that’s just ridiculous to disrespect the current manager when you’ve still got a chance to win the game.
I love how people jump all over my comment and start making assumptions about who I am and what I think. First off, I agree that Eboue shouldn’t have gotten involved with Ballack; it was not his place. And he should have given 10 yards on the free kick, he didn’t, he got a yellow. There is still a difference between Eboue’s actions and that of Chelsea after the Cole injury. Eboue was an idiot, got a yellow, put his team in jeopardy of going a man down a couple of times as he was breaking rules of the game. What Chelsea did was showing a lack of respect for the game of football. Giving the ball back to Arsenal is an unwritten rule of the game, just as it was for Arsenal to kick it out of play when the Chelsea player was hurt. Eboue disrespected the player (Ballack) and the rules (not giving 10 yards) and arguably even his team (by almost putting his team down a man). All of these put together is not as bad as disrespecting the game and what it stands for which in my opinion is what Chelsea did.
and Blues fan, I stated that Arsenal didn’t deserve to win. Tell me how that is crying. I stated that they didn’t deserve to lose by goals that happened the way they did. Chelsea had many other opportunities that they could have scored and it would have been fitting for Arsenal to lose on good and fair goals.
well, it is clear again:
- vanpersie in not back yet
- adebeyor, did he actually play? I didn’t see him.
- poor, poor defending by arsenal
- chelsea was simply stronger. a bigger team.
we simply do not show constant play, like ManU. And thats whats needed in this league, and in this stage of the competition..
So say goodbye to the title gooners. Lets go for the CHL..

If you are down by 1 in a decisive game and you replace two very experienced players, one of them ballack, who is obviously a goalscorer, by belletti isn`t that very clever.
The fans are just sick of these random decisions by grant.

Good game Chelsea!
I felt this was one the best games in the Prem so far, and you played very well. Of course I wanted Arsenal to win, and I think we could have if Arsenal were not in such of an important part of the season. Van Persie, Adebayor, Hleb , Eboue, and Fabregas to an extent are not in form, but since we are in a make or break part of the season, we cannot afford to experiment to see who will work best at these positions, and we cannot wait to have them find form - we need them to be in form, though we could have started Walcott. Also, anyone who says Arsene needs to go is either a fool, or someone who is not an Arsenal fan. I understand this loss was in a make or break circumstance, but it is also on some of the players. Many are not perfoming up to their standards.
When Sagna went down, and Abou Diaby came on, I felt this was a serious problem. The position Diaby started playing was in midfield, and this left a hole in the defence. Sagna has a very big influence on opposing players, and I felt there was some sort of a hole in the defense. Van Persie is not playong well, and Adebayor is non exiatent. He is trying to play like Henry did, casually, arogantly, at ease. He eeds to realise he is not good enough to be attempting this. People keep on Banging on about Gallas and Toure, and Arsene Wenger, but they are not reaching the real problems. They re also makingalist of about ten ‘big name’ players who Arsene needs to buy. They are looking at FM2008 andseeing which players improve the most! They say this is the failing of Arsenal. We don’t have to get ‘big names’ just good players, even if we have to pay a bit for them. I do agree, however, Arsene cannot go this summer and just buy a few 14, 15, and 16 year olds and end there. We do need to dtrengthen our firdt team, not reserves.
These are what I think, on a scale of 1-10 of how th lads played over the weekend.
Ade- 4: Non existent. Casual. Lazy, almost.
v Persie - 5: needs to find for gain, but is still pulling his weight.
Eboue - 3: Terrible temper, I do not think he is good enough to be a first choice RM. Not a good game, useless booking, appalling passing.
Fabregas - 6: Not terrible, but no linking well with Eboue/ Hleb, (though this is not his fault.)
Flamini - 7: As always, hard working, cool and composed.
Hleb - 5: Loss of form, passes going astray, shooting timid, and stays on the ball too long.
Clichy - 8: Kept the lest side at bay, though did not go forward as much.
Gallas - 6: A bit bad in the air, but a solid performance went forward a bit much at times.Good clearing.
Toure - 6: Same as Gallas.
Sagna - 9: Man of the match, I feel Arsenal would have one if he had stayed.
Here are some REASONABLE signings:
Veloso. OK, maybe not so reasonable, but maybe, maybe could come.
Joaquin.
Dentinho.
Bodmer*
Richards.Same as Veloso.
Here are osme that are definitley not coming, but would like to see and would work well:
Aguero.
Nasri/Ben Arfa.
Benzema.
Pepe.
Quaresma.
Robinho.

theres no connection to avram grant being jewish and chelsea fans hating him for it. please post inteligent comments Israel is here to die. these comments make jews really look dumb. Seriously I didnt even know grant is a jew so how could i hate him for beng jewish? please use ure brain ok?
doesn’t surprise me a bit that Arsenal’s opposition were gifted yet another offside goal. AW should send a fat brown envelope to FA like the others do or this will continue. Oh, and definitely AW simply has to start buying players that don’t take four years of nurturing to become near EPL winning quality. And they need someone who scores, Ade after a promising phase is back to non-existence…
…that AW guy is stupid u knw…he thinks all those managers who invest in playaz during the summer r all fools…..he’s been at Arsenal fo wat now? 8 yrs?? …and still doesnt get it….i mean im no manager or anything but c’mon yo u think those mofo Ade, Flamini, Hleb & “the Almight” Cesc can go all season with no rest…..hey im a ManYoo fan so im obviously biased…but to all u Arsenal fans, i have read alot of comments here since the beginning of the season…..u kept (and still do) goin on abt hw u dont need to buy experienced playaz, ohhh all we need r kidz and AW will groom them…..well juss wanted to let u knw that this is y u need experience…THE LAST 10 GAMES!!! Mourinho was ryt abt AW; he’s got no pressure to perform..he seems to be “always building fo the future & the fans r made to wait a few years…..
see come the run-in, teams already knw by then wat they want to achieve u knw…..for instance, i remember a game u had with Everton (and the Toffees were playin good football tht tym) and u thrashed them 4-1 i think……but trust me wen they come down to the Emirates ur in fo a surprise…..thts y it was hard fo ManYoo to beat Derby…..ehhh i think u dig wat im tryna say….
Great job & “ll but i’d be surprised if u maintain 3rd spot ahead of ‘Pool….cuz u still gotta play them, then ManYoo and later like i sed, Everton….

You can`t give grant the credit for winning the game

look at the goals. they were through the middle and because of a long ball through the center to Drogba. Even if Sagna was there he couldn’t have changed anything. Drogba pwned the Arsenal center halfs.
there’s still a chance for all three prem teams, chelsea have improved abit but arsenal are lacking,man-u are simply spectacular, but roonety should improve on his finishing then we can thrash tealms like liverpool 7-0

Benzema.
Pepe.
Quaresma.
Robinho.

doesn’t surprise me a bit that Arsenal’s opposition were gifted yet another offside goal.

Cmon that change was the difference in the game. The second goal was set up by both of the subs.
From a neutral point of view it made Grant look like a genius
Personally i feel that the injury of sagna was the turning point of the game. The defense was terrible without him
You can`t give grant the credit for winning the game

look at the goals. they were through the middle and because of a long ball through the center to Drogba. Even if Sagna was there he couldn’t have changed anything. Drogba pwned the Arsenal center halfs.
