1. We’re going to Wembley!

2. OMG…Portsmouth..what a luck son of a ***** you guys are…

ZERO chance throughout the game..
F***ED up refereeing and BAM !! penalty and winner for you guys..

well..guess luck does count in the FA cup..

Live it up MANU..don’t let this set-back keep you down

3. very unlucky for man u.. o well.. portsmouth did not deserve it at all lol..

hope Barnsley win now lol

4. Bring on the might Barnsley at Wembley!

5. well well well….Well done Portsmouth…I am happy to see those suckers losing. .hahahahahahhah…I just can’t believe how Portsmouth defended their goal…this is another proof that Man-u is just a lucky team…but hey Man-U, Mr. Luck was busy today and he did not have time for you….He had an appointment with Portsmouth….hahahahahah..I think this a curse from Lyon…Bottom line: man-u is out of English Cup now…so everyone shut the F up and start coming up with excuses.

6. wow amazing defending and goal keeping! + a little bit of luck always helps! entertaining game for a neutral fan nonetheless. :)

7. I fought funny when Ferdinand put on goalkeepershirt and gloves but i saw the game well! There were bad guys on the field and the referee was the biggest one

8. what a load of shi t. portsmouth played like a league 2 team. that game was rubbish, and i’m an arsenal fan. but i guess it happens. lucky shi ts

9. Who cares if the ref called a penalty, Man U couldnt finish at all. Carrick should have scored but somehow didnt. Evra hit the post, but it was a nice save from James. Portsmouth just happened to get a penalty and scored from it. You can blame the ref for it but Man U should have atleast had one goal by then

10. lucky lucky portsmouth…congrats to you. yes it was definitely a penalty, distin essentially bodychecked ronaldo with no intent to play the ball. and yes it was not a red card (not a definite goal scoring opportunity since anderson hald already gotten back to defend and rooney was standing on the line), but refs make mistakes an man utd should have put at least one of those chances away. they didn’t so portsmouth deserved to win – I hate it, but its true.

11. **** cannot believe that game :P

12.
well well well….Well done Portsmouth…I am happy to see those suckers losing. .hahahahahahhah…I just can’t believe how Portsmouth defended their goal…this is another proof that Man-u is just a lucky team…but hey Man-U, Mr. Luck was busy today and he did not have time for you….He had an appointment with Portsmouth….hahahahahah..I think this a curse from Lyon…Bottom line: man-u is out of English Cup now…so everyone shut the F up and start coming up with excuses.
Lets see are you an Arsenal or Chelsea fan perhaps? Well which ever let me remind you, ehm…4-0 OT if your an Arsenal fan, Barnsley just kicked you out if you a Chelsea fan, if your a Pool fan then really just sad for you! My guess is your an Arsenal fan as those idiots just arent shutting up these days :P

About this game, one of those in which the ball was never going to go in the back of the net, no matter what, brilliant defending at times, and bad luck at others….and also **** poor refereeing!

13. MANU How retarted can you be in front of goal!!!! ???? What a disaster!!! HAHAHAHA

14. manutd,germany..yes I AM AN ARSENAL fan…I say it loudly and proudly…and yes we lost to Man-u 4-0..but guess what…First, we did not play home, and second we played MAN-U not Portsmouth…so our loss is justified…now, let’s talk about man-u’s loss…first, man-u played home..second, they played a below average team…and still lost like idiots at home…Man-u is good in losing at home nowadays. I really like that..

15. Ya i realize united should have capitalized but Ronny was dropped in the box regardless what anyone says.. Looks like we can focus on premiership and Europe now. Look out Arsenal we’re creeping up…

16. On another different topic – it was nice to see the post-match analysis after the game – can future posters include the MOTD analysis for each game? Cheers, Paul

17. shoulda finished but we didnt.

i dont blame the defense for giving up a goal. most teams give up a goal. our offense should have put at least 2 of those in.

unlucky, bad finishing and a **** ref. but it was our loss and our fault. no excuses for the result.

btw, there are NO big 4 teams in the competition.

I pick barnsley for the cup. They beat chelsea and liverpool. Only 2 prem sides left in i think, boro and portsmouth. this is going to be a fun one. imagine, cause its entirely plausible: an ALL CHAMPIONSHIP final for the FA Cup. This is great for the sport. it is year of the underdogs.

18. lol ferguson goes on about winning the treble and looses to pompy, nice.

19. just thought I’d point out that that below average team has won more away games then your arsenal this season.

and an unlucky 1-0 is nowhere near as embarrassing as a 4-0 whipping.

good luck in the prem, you’ll need it.

20. Arsenal are clearly the favourites to win epl after beating milan in milan..This loss should make manu come back strong ,they deserved to win this game..
anyway as an arsenal fan i want arsenal to beat manu in uefa cl, i hope they meet in quaterfinals..
and hope arsenal meet barca next roud and show henry that they miss him least..
GO ARSENAL GO!!!!

21. Always the ref not doing the job, always the ref. :((

22. :o *** was that??!! I am dissapointed!!! Call it bad luck or the reffs fault. The pompeys were outplayed, number of great chances… It was players fault. Blame them. They didnt respect the oposite side. look at rooneys chance and carricks. I am getting worried about our chances of winning anything at all…the ManU players are just to egoistic! They should concentrate on playing not talking about treble and that kind of crap…the game is not won off the field but on the field. Obviously…i just cant see as winning anything. We should have won that kind of games without problems, like arsenal does, like we did last year!!!! The games like that do make you champion not ones with arsenal and chelsea. Those are just four games per season out of 60!!!!!!!!!! Think about that

23.
well well well….Well done Portsmouth…I am happy to see those suckers losing. .hahahahahahhah…I just can’t believe how Portsmouth defended their goal…this is another proof that Man-u is just a lucky team…but hey Man-U, Mr. Luck was busy today and he did not have time for you….He had an appointment with Portsmouth….hahahahahah..I think this a curse from Lyon…Bottom line: man-u is out of English Cup now…so everyone shut the F up and start coming up with excuses.
ur an idiot….A TEAM can’t be champions of the prem .and still be lucky…/:)

24. As a Man U fan I should point out that I’m happy to see Pompey through and I won’t make any excuses about having Rio in goal. Although to be honest anyone could score if Ferdinand’s wearing the gloves. :d/ Still I’m just happy to see a non big four final. BARNSLEY FOR THE CUP! GO BARNSLEY!!! :d

25. wat luck 4 Portsmouth..this game shuld have been 4 nil for manchester united….Wow…Bad day 4 theReds#:-s

26.
On another different topic – it was nice to see the post-match analysis after the game – can future posters include the MOTD analysis for each game? Cheers, Paul
You should be grateful you get anything at all, always demanding more. :-w

Agreed! Thanks for your amazing work Fred54.. keep it up man and don’t listen to these ungrateful fools.

28. Go united!! premier league and champions league are still. arsenal are not first when this season is over. they dont win anything.

29. Muntari is the man….

30. Thank you for that ManU- I laughed so hard… Sweetness.

31. There was definitely an element of luck to pompey’s victory however, Harry Redknapp was correct to employ the only tactic that was feasible to get through the game which was to defend like ****, play counters and hope for the best… so well done to pompey

On another different topic – HOLI **** IS FRED54!! I dream about you day and night and am grateful for all those joys you’ve brought us!! THX!!

32. This is Rather interesting ‘cos I guessed right that after that 4-0 win against Arsenal, Man U would lose their next game; they are way to proud and pompous. I guess they thought they had already won the FA Cup and forgot that they haven’t won anything yet. So much for that win against Arsenal. What a waste! over and out.

33. That may have been the unluckiest game United could ever have.

Ronaldo denied of a clear penalty.
Tevez’s shot cleared off the line.
Carrick’s shot cleared off the line….somehow….
Evra’s shot denied by the post.

All in all, a bad game for Manchester United…

34. ABSOLUTE “BS”, I CANNOT BELIEVE THERE IS ARSENAL FANS TALKING ON THIS SITE ABOUT THIS GAME WHEN THEY SEE IT, THEY KNOW IT THAT THIS A COMPLETE FARSE AND PLOT TO GET MAN U OUT OF THIS COMPETITION. THE PREMIERSHIP SHOULD LAUNCH A INVESTIGATION IN THE SAME STYLE THE ITALIAN LEAGUE DID ON CROOKED REFEREES. I KNOW THIS ONE WAS..

35. Really, i felt United should have gotten the penalty (i’m not complaining, though,I am an Arsenal fan) but all in all i felt Portsmouth deserved to win. They defended superbly. Bad luck really for Man U.
May the best man win the Prem/ChampsLeague.
Only time will tell.

36. Haha. Carlos Tevez. Can’t even beat a goal without a keeper. Why did he shoot like that? All he had to do was side foot it into a corner.

hahaha

37. Sorry Fred 54, thank you for the highlights..your saving me a ton of money on cable expenses..

38. yeah… every time man u lost they always make an excuse, blame the ref and bla bla bla…. especially ferguson… just admit it you guys lose AT HOME !! … you guys unlucky, and the offense cant score… screw that ferguson, that arrogant old man !! every time i heard his comment just made me more hates m.u….

39. YOU ALL TALK ****!!!

THE LOST IS JUST A BAD LUCK!!! THE REF COULF JUST GIVE PENALTY OR RED CARD, NO NEED TO BE BOTH!!!

WHATEVER IT IS, MANCHESTER UNITED IS THE BEST…

fOR ARSENAL, YOU LOST 4-0, THO YOU PLAY AT OUR HOME, IT’S NOT A VALID EXCUSE!!! YOU’RE JUST BEING DUMB!!

fOR CHELSEA, IT’S TOTTALY A SHAME!!! I’D RATHER PLAY WITH MY EYES BLINDFOLDED AND LOST 4-0 THNA WITH OPEN EYES, LOST 1-0 TO A CLUB LIKE BARNSLEY!!! REMEMBER, YOU HAVE FULL TEAM!!!

fOR LIVERPOOL, YOU WILL NOT WIN ANY PREMIERSHIP FOR THE NEXT 30 YEARS!! YOU’RE THE WORST AMONG THE 4!!!

fOR PORTSMOUTH, JUST f*** YOUSELF!!! YOU WON’T PROCEED TO THE FINAL WITH ALL YOU BLACK a**HOLES!!!

40. GREAT DIVE FERDINAND AHAHAHAHAHAHA:o

41. :((

this is b-u-l-l ****. MANU you guys are not the losers. don’t even wanna blame portsmouth guys, but ref. Real biaatch.

42. united lost, it’s simple as that. true, united had much more possession; yes, they had many, many oppurtunities to put the game away; also, i’m sure any reasonable person would say that there should have been a penalty for ronaldo and that kuszczak should not have been sent off. however, all of these are moot points because they will not change the result. united were much more inventive against pompey than against lyon but lacked any type of finishing touch.

to the arsenal supporters, are you really going to mock united…really? why wasn’t arsenal playing in the cup today. oh, that’s right; united knocked them out by beating them 4-0 and making a downright mockery of them. so please refrain from talking sh*t when we handed you your *** just a few weeks ago.

united have plenty of excuses at their disposal but really shouldn’t use any of them. hopefully this loss will affect the team positively.

This is the beginning of man-’s end for this season…let’s just be patient and see it happening..

45. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
=))=))=))=))=))=))

46. Ronaldo definitely deserved the penalty. *** was the ref thinkin.

47. THE F**KING REF IS NOT FAIR…RONALDO SHOULD GET A PENALTY…AND KUCZ SHOULD NOT SENT OFF….AND KUCZ’S FACE ALSO KICK THE THE F**CKING BAROS
SO HOW KUCZ SENT OFF BUT BAROS DIDNT RECEIVE ANY PUNISHMENT??

POMPEY GO F**K OFF THEMSELF…
BULLS**T

48. kicked by ***

i am positive man utd will win both the champs league and premiership. that’ll ought to shut u up, you disgraceful ARSEnal fan

50. POOR REFEREE !!! they should have give pompy 5 red card by all means so that Man U can win a game in a fasionable way !!! ha ha ha …

51. I stayed up till 4am to watch my team lose :( very disappointing..

You ****** Arsenal ****, u not winning any trophy this Season! Mark my words! :o

52. wah
why evryone so angry.

53. What a great year for the F.A. cup. Someone different from the top 4 will win it for a change! Man U showed their class but it wasn’t to be. It’s a shame that they weren’t magnanimous in defeat. That shows a different level of class to be able to do that. By the way any Scummers reading this? I bet you’re sick of seeing Pompey doing so well. I hope you remain sick for years to come!!

54. Brave ref, and i think he got all the decisions right. For the Pompey penalty, why did Man U put Anderson one of their best attacking players on the half way line?? Ruining one of the best attacking mids in the world… Damn funny though that two hated arrogant teams lose in the fa cup when they both must have thought it would be another Man Ure and Chelski chavs final. Hilarious!
Pompey and all the ex-gunners for the Fa Cup!

55. They are angry coz the only reason they support Man Ure is to watch them win, classic glory hunter fans. They cant understand that other teams sometimes win. And the referee dared not to give another Ronaldo dive as a penalty.

56. manutd did not deserve to lose that game, the ref didnt do his job and cost us the game.. i am furious rite now:-w
but we are still the best

57.
YOU ALL TALK ****!!!

What a nice person not! Sour grapes and a racist to boot. Get a life and grow up :((

Arsenal so they lost 4-0 to you; however picked their selves up and won 2-0 in Milan signs of champions?

Great to have all 4 so called big clubs out of the FA Cup; great for those teams still involved; even greater for footy on the whole.

ECFC supporter – oh yeh you couldn’t even beat us at your place 2 years ago

58. They pay the pries of sending arsenal of the Cup, so I am really glad that they’re out not only that they’re out, they were beating by a small club.

It’s sucks to you Man u, at that time.

59.
They are angry coz the only reason they support Man Ure is to watch them win, classic glory hunter fans. They cant understand that other teams sometimes win. And the referee dared not to give another Ronaldo dive as a penalty.
wow you need to get a grip ronaldo dived maybe you should watch it again on second thoughts dont bother as you are clearly blinded by your hate. my thoughts are that alan hannsen got it spot on manu deserved a penalty and kuzackdidnt deserve the red, oh well at least chelsea lost and arsenal/liverpool were knocked out it the previous rounds so we dont have to suffer them lifting the trophy. i think barnsley deserve to win it after beating both liverpool and chelsea now

60. I never laughed so hard in my life:d watching those man u RETARDS in front of goal :d/ i can smell spmething fergie??? Aaahhh as usual, EXCUSE time

61. Has anyone seen c.ronaldo’s top 10 dives compilation? he is a discrace to himself and an embaressment to football. No wonder why he doesnt get evry call his own way!!! Otherwise a pretty decent player. Most utd fans are favourte boys anyway – glory hunters… No clue of being a REAL fan of a REAL team.

63. Now that arsenal dropped two points, I hope all you Arsenal fans will shut the **** up and stop being such idiots.

64. i dont like him but that was a clear penalti tbag.one thing is to protect the ball other thing is slamming a body against other player while the ball is simple not there.
not saying he didnt dive before, even though now he rarely does it.
im not a man u fan btw

65.
Now that arsenal dropped two points, I hope all you Arsenal fans will shut the **** up and stop being such idiots.
i highly doubt it because arsenal supporters lack common sense/logic. if losing by a goal in the FA cup signifies that
This is the beginning of man-’s end for this season.
, then i wonder: what does losing 4-0 in the cup signify for arsenal?

66. ya know whats really funny tho how we dont get lucky enough to draw barnsley…we just have to play premiership teams every single ****** time and wish that we had a ****** barnsley to beat up on..portsmouth great ****** defending on the line that **** is crazy…but ****** martin atkinson if that penalty had been given the game wouldve been so different then red cards our keeper after being kneed in the head that **** is ****** hilarious…KILL URSELF ATKINSON

67. OK U ******* ARSENAL, LIVERPOOL AND CHELSEA FANS WHO R LAUGHING LIKE RETARDS UR ALL A BUNCH OF LOSERS WHO CAN ONLY LAUGH AT THE BEST TEAM IN ENGLAND U LOSERS!!!

ARSENAL U LOST 4-0 AT THE THEATRE OF DREAMS SO ****!!!!

LIVERPOOL U LOST TO ******* BARNSLY AT HOME SO *** R U TALKING ABOUT?!

AND CHELSEA… WELL UVE GOT THE WORST MANAGER IN THE PREM BUT SADLY ONE OF THE BEST SQUADS SO GO TO ****!!!

68. Man U fans, football is simple – score one more than the opposition and you win! Stop F-ing moaning – you win some, you lose some. Maybe if you start supporting your team like real supporters maybe they would win…

Prove: Sir Alex Ferguson described Old Trafford as having the atmosphere of a “funeral” when he spoke after Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Birmingham City

- Obviously the fans didn’t feel like supporting them that day.

United is a team for NOVICE football fans that like to support the so-called Hollywood of football hence the s*** support. FACT

69. thats what happens , to be great you must konw how to succed after defeat, it wasnt man uniteds day, so y dont u fake cavier supporters just admit defeat u sore looser, if u spent the same amount of time cheering ur team on that u do complaining when u loose ur team might win

70. LUCKY POMPY – Let me break this one down for you! :-?

Ronaldo was shown a great British shoulder barge by Distin – even if he did foul him, the ball was in James’s hands – maybe he should have dived! :((

Just because Carrick can’t score into a empty net, or Rooney and Tevez are not composed enough to finish a one on one, then what makes you guys think you should have won? Eh?

Even when pompy had done united on the counter-attack why where 2 united players on Krancjar? Even if there not defenders they should use common sense – you go with him, ill cover baros – but NO.

Pompy defended great – and united didnt show them any respect.

SIMPLE

71. stop whining. what about all the times ronaldo has dived and the ref has helped you out.

72. Okay, that was a fair shoulder barge

73. It really doesn’t matter if everyone is against Man Utd, cos we have the best team with the best players in the world. We play the most attractive attacking football, our midfield is full of flair and our defence is rock solid. Simply put, the team oozes class. With such good football to look forward to every weekend, it is reasonable to expect other fans to be green with envy. Therefore, i can forgive you guys for slating us, as you probably must be feeling sorry for the kind of football you have to put up with all the time.

74. sometimes its better to be lucky than good.

Let me justify the reason why your not

- Did you win the Carling Cup? No
- Do you look like real contenders for the Champions League? NO
- Are you top of the Premier League? No
- Does Arsenal players not play attractive football?
- The ONLY best player is Ronaldo – the rest are never speculated about a possible target for other top clubs (This happens to big players every season)

Its a terrible thing jealousy!!!

77. You’re talking about not being a red card – actually its not even a penalty. Watch from 2:56 into the highlights how Baros puts the knee in Kuzsaks head, takes half a step then jumps up to make a dive. The evidence is there for all to see on the replay from behind. Kuszak dont touch him with his arms at all. Baros makes the contact with his knee then jumps up like a dying swan..

As a United fan i agree with El Nino about the first statement, being a bit..Well..Biased and untrue, but every club has supporters who are like that. I recently encountered 2 Arsenal fans in one helping saying the same about Arsenal. With the questions you’ve asked, have you actually asked them to yourself? The only reason that you have more players linked to top European clubs is that 1. They are all foreign and would someday like to play in their homeland 2. They never commit fully to the club (with the exception of Fabregas). United have a nice stable base of players who are more than content and happy to stay as they know they won’t play at many better clubs.

79. Who cares about Fabregas doing a great game once in a while when he’s unable to make a complete pass against Wigan! :-?

Derby will be a piece of cake next weekend considering the wonderful way we play at the moment with a full fit squad (except Neville and Silvestre) to pick from. Giggs is a little worry but with Nani and park to fill up the gaps I’m not worried. Bolton on wednesday at home next week shouldnt be any problems either, then come crunch time when Liverpool comes to OT Sunday 23.rd day on wich Arsenal go to Stanford Bridge later in the afternoon.

Hopefully we’ll be 3-4 points clear by then.

80. Simon,

With the questions you’ve asked, have you actually asked them to yourself? Yes, they are all based on facts and figures.

The only reason that you have more players linked to top European clubs is that 1. They are all foreign and would someday like to play in their homeland 2. First of all – how did you manage to identify the club I support? I’m am a Liverpool supporter hence El Nino. Name me a better player (except defence) or equally as good as Ronaldo?

They never commit fully to the club (with the exception of Fabregas). good point.

United have a nice stable base of players who are more than content and happy to stay as they know they won’t play at many better clubs.

81. El Nino:

Yeah, like Liverpool have a great consistency in teambuildning with players coming and leaving all the time the past 5 years… :-\”

Liverpool lost it’s soul. Yes, the premier league is not what it used to be and foreign player have spiced it up for sure, but look at Arsenal lining up with all foreign players….. even in a reserve lineup in the league cup they’re having problems playinga brittish player… it’s a shame really.

United still going strong, yes we also brought in foreign players to spice up, but we still have the belief in brittish footballers, and the record is still growing stronger and stronger winning titles with homegrown talent on the pitch in every odd game. Giggs, Scholes, Fletcher, OShea have all been a very imported part of a majority of this season. Then we have Rio, Rooney, Hargreaves, Carrick. A brittish team could consist of a base of brittish player, even Mourinho ****** said the same… ;)

Let me justify the reason why your not

- Are you in the FA Cup? NO
- Did you win the Carling Cup? No
- Do you look like real contenders for the Champions League? NO
- Are you top of the Premier League? No
- Does Arsenal players not play attractive football?

Red Devil – Your fellow Devil (Simon) wrote them on the previous post :d not me! Regarding foreign players. Yes it is a shame that British players are not being brought as often as like – but the truth of the matter is that british players are hype and no good – English defenders tend to be good, but midfielder and strikers are all average.

You say OShea, Fletcher, Hargreaves and Carrick etc but these guys won’t get the ball in the back of the net! Without Ronaldo you wouldn’t be where you are!

87. Simon # 76. C’mon man chin up, mummy still luv’s ya!!! Surely you’ve got something more insightful than that??? glorrrry, glory, glory, glooorrrrrrrry hunter!…. glooorrrry, glory, glory, gloorrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyy HUNTER, whataloser!!!!

88. “You say OShea, Fletcher, Hargreaves and Carrick etc but these guys won’t get the ball in the back of the net! Without Ronaldo you wouldn’t be where you are!”

Hargreaves and Fletcher scored just recently, Fletcher even scored a double, so you’ve got your facts completely wrong mate..

Portsmouth came and parked the bus and worked great. But they wouldnt be able to do it in a replay. You can get away with it occasionaly but never in the long run. They took their chance and with big help from officials they got away with it this time.

The referee won them the game with two fair and square wrong decisions. That’s a fact and it cost us this time. Portsmouth didnt win through the football played, that’s for sure.

Ronaldo’s diving belongs a few years back. Get over it. There are players around worse than him at this very moment.

Just look at Fabregas getting a slight touch in the face from a Wigan player yesterday and making it look like being hit by an airplane. Stand up and be a ****** man… Torres is the same, diving all over the place…

89. how uncommon is that… Ronaldo dives at OT and gets nothing, but the opposing team dives and gets a penalty + keeper sent off. Usually its the other way.

90. Btw: Wayne Rooney sure is english and one of europes top strikers at the age of 23. The game on saturday was the first time he was on the pitch losing a game this season… and we’re in March. It says it all!

91. When has Ronaldo dived to win a game this season? He got tripped against Derby at 3-1 lead in stoppage time and made the most of it, but the Derby player was 5 yards from the ball and shouldnt stick his foot out…

That’t the only incident I can recall this season. Have you got any other match winning penalties he has dived for to tell me about?? I can think of alleast one or two other occasions when he has been denied clear cut penalties though…

92. RED DEVIL #89

Hargreaves and Fletcher might get one or two but they are not the guys who will win games. Paul Robinson has the same goal scoring form as these guys.

Wanye Rooney top european striker haha

How many goals has he scored this season? There are 5 top strikers in europe I can name who are way more clinical then him. It’s without doubt that Ronaldo’s presence has made the difference – he is the world class player at United !

Says it all – How can you say that – United have won any Silverware lol

93. Yeah, Rooney’s had two bad injuries this season and has only accomplished 13 goals and made 9 assists in 30 appearances, compared to last seasons 23 goals and 13 assists in 55 appearances.

Pippo Inzaghi scored 8 goals in 32 apps last season. Ruud Van Nistelrooy has scored 16 goals in 26 apps this season.

Who are you comparing with?? Rooney is not an out and out striker. He could be compared to Messi or kaka. often drops deep and picks up balls. It’s a matter of fact I don’t miss Rooneys goals when he’s not playing, I mostly miss his workrate and creativity.

Hargreaves and Fletcher sure are no goalscorers, and not ment to be either. How many goals have Macherano scored this season?? ;)

:-?:-?:-?

94. We’ll see at the end of the season wich of the top four clubs who got the most number of trphies.. ;)

95. That’s my point – I don’t expect Mascherano to score nor alonso but what I do expect is that Babel, torres and Gerrard do – thats there jobs.

If I’m not wrong Babel must be close to Rooney’s stats in his first season ON THE WING.

I think Eto, Drogba, Berbatov, Torres and Henry are 5 who are better (and I could probably name you more) but if you think differently then please say.

Like I said before – I think Ronaldo is fantastic but there is no more world class players at United.

96. No team earns anything by relying on one or two players to do their job. Everybody contributing is important to success. I guess that’s Liverpools problem and why they never win the league anymore.. ;) Everyone plays a part and different players play different parts. Rooneys role is not only to score goals.

Henry scored 13 goals in 32 apps this season, Rooney scored 13 goals in 30 apps…

You better get your facts sorted out unless you want to embaress yourself…

99. I said ‘I do not expect them’ not ‘they should not’ – if that were the case – take Ronaldo out and you have hardly any contribution at United Eh!

Ronaldo is showing Rooney how to put the ball in the back of the net.

Just remember Class is permanent, form is Temporary – comparing Henry at Arsenal couple years ago is the reason why his name is there – now compare the 2? Just remember that age of Henry now – Shrek should be doing better. You don’t become World Class in a single season, you earn the right!

100. Rooney has scored 89 goals in 253 apps until he reached 23 years of age. When Henry was 23 (end of season 1999-00 he was 23 in August 2000) he had scored 57 goals in 205 apps. Rooneys stats gives us aprox 0.35% goals per appearance and Henrys give us 0.27% goals per game… ;)

Don’t continue this argument now. Surrender to the facts, and stop humiliating yourself… ;)

101. Henry is alot older than Rooney, but Rooney development curve is alot better than Henrys at the same age.

102. Henrys record over the Arsenal years is indeed good (226 goals in 369 apps, 0.61 goals/game) allthough he was the same age as Rooney (aprox) when he joined Arsenal. Rooney has his best years to come and looking at the facts his development curve looks far better than Thierry Henrys did when he was 23…

103. I would agree – only due down to that Henry was initially a winger.

Henry:
European Golden Boot: 2004, 2005

FIFA World Player of the Year
Runner-up: 2003,2004
European Footballer of the Year
2nd place: 2003
3rd place: 2006

Rooney & Ronaldo haven’t achieved enough for you to even begin to compare!

Surrender lol – You need to wait, my fervent friend. ;)

104. And I dont really understand what this got to do with anything… So what?! Ruud Van Nistelrooy scored 150 goals in 201 appearances for United, wich gives us aprox 0.75 goals per appearance. In comparison to that, Henry sucks bigtime…

105. You don’t win awards for scoring goals do you? No, you win it for all over performance. If it was down to scoring goals you could give it to Ronaldo right now for this season coz he scored 30 in 33 apps!! ;)

106. I didn’t chose Henry to compare to, you did.

Yes, Van Nistelrooy is the man – but fergie sold him.

My initial argument was concerning the game – but I stated that Rooney is not in the same group as other players in my opinion there are far better players I would prefer upfront.

Hence the reason why I said that Ronaldo is World Class – since I would have trouble selecting a better player in his position.

107. Actually Rooney and Henry got alot in common. Both produce alot of assists and both attack alot from the left wing. Rooney does it too.

108. Ok, lets do a comparison with Samuel Eto’o

During his career he has scored 158 goals in 325 games wich gives us an impressive average of 0.48 goals/game aprox. Allthough Eto’o is a few years older than Rooney. Born 1981, joined Barcelona summer 2004, 27 years old (today actually) and until he was 23 (end of season 2003-04) he had scored 76 goals in 199 games wich only gives a slight advantage to Rooney who has 0.35 goals/game until this day.

But then, considering Rooney is more of a from behind or second striker who drops deep and Eto’o is the definitive “old fashion” box player they’re quite similar in goalscoring qualitites I would say…

Now, please give it up… fool.

109. Fernando Torres scored 116 goals in 277 apps, wich gives us about 0.41 goals per game, slightly better than Rooney. But then again, Torres indeed is an out and out striker, often alone upfront with one role in Liverpools way of playing.

110. Berbatov scored 77 goals in 178 apps until he was 23 y/o wich gives us 0.43 goals/game. Again, an out and out striker, good header of the ball, great box player like Ruud…

Rooney is one of the top strikers in europe and alot of top european clubs would be after him if he was for sale.

111. i applaud you Red Devil. we appreciate a gem when we see one. how do you judge a player whose season has been dogged by injuries? moreover, rooney’s presence in the team is an injection of confidence, the fact that man utd win most of their games with rooney starting says a lot.

112. We have lost one game this season with Rooney in the team. We lost it this saturday against Martin Atkinson, not Pompey..

I love the way Rooney plays and the energy and fighting spirit he brings with him. There is noone like him in the world of football.

113.
No team earns anything by relying on one or two players to do their job. Everybody contributing is important to success. Red Devil,
I agree with all your comments. I believe these le **** and Liver**** fans will always post bitter comments on us , they are so shameless they would post comments for each other – **** fans supporting **** and L’pool fans supporting the ****….wat a disgrace they just dunt hv nothing about their own teams to talk about

114. Ajit – you defaintely told us – I’m going to lose sleep over that one.

Have you not been reading my post!?

Obviously not, I’ve been praising Ronaldo, your just another stereo-typical UTD fan : Ooo UTD are the best, the greatest blah blah lol

115. I will tell you why arsenal fans are more proud than manu or chelsea or liverpool. If you see the players on paper manu ,chelsea and liverpool al have star players who are “expected” to perform while arsenal have just fabregas to boast about and thats what makes this team so special, you do not require star players but great understanding between players to bring out the best.
@ simon
your version of manus attacking football as the best is tottaly bullshit as critics agree that arsenal show more flare and make this game look beautiful.I do agree that manu have solid defence but attacking soccer fans of respective clubs will feel their club is best.
Arsenal victory in milan is a proof as to what arsenal can do on their day, a bunch of youngsters who are fighting to be recognized and will one day demand more respect from football fans worldwide.
WE LOVE YOU ARSENAL AND SUPPORT YOU ALL THE WAY!!!

116. united was unlucky…and kuzscak shudn’t hav been sent off..he did get a touch of d ball..n baros clipped on kuzscak’s head n fell..ronaldo’s penalty claim was a tough one..pompey’s lucky today..bt will nt always b on any other. go united!

117. El Nino: I’ve compared Rooney to all the strikers you mentioned using official FACTS and you have nothing to come up with? Was your argument THAT weak? Why not just admit you’re wrong atleast.. show some decency FGS… Rooneys qualities are often underestimated. Football is about team performances. Quality players like Ronaldo can make a huge difference in the odd game but in a season it’s down to the hole squad. Everyone must do their job and contribute defensivly as offensivly. That’s football. Rooney don’t score as much at the moment as he’s capable of, alot has to do with 2 longer injuries this season, he’s not really back to 100% yet, but I’m sure you’ll see the best of him in several games before the end of the season and you’ll be impressed for sure..

Peace: Football is not about flare. I’ve watched every single Arsenal and United game this season and when Arsenal are at their best I agree the football you play are enjoyable to watch, but so are Man Uniteds way of playing. Arsenal have a lower lowest level though, their worst game played is never any joy at all to watch, while with United, even the neutral hardly never finds a United game boring to watch.

But then again, if you don’t win anything this season noone will remember the “flare” – football is about winning titles, and it that department your record compared to ours speaks for itself.

I don’t think you will win the league this season to be honest, not to pick down on you (would be easy taking this that way since I’m a United fan) but considering 1. the form the top three teams are in, 2. that you still have to go to both Stanford bridge AND Old Trafford, 3. the width of the squads.

But time will tell. Everything is still wideopen. A couple of injuries, the odd bad performance can rule any of the teams out.

Also please let’s kill off the myth media propaganda about the so incredibly “young” Arsenal team… Get sick of hearing about it.

Uniteds squad are 25.9 year s of age in average, and Arsenals 25. Media really get their freaking facts messed up here…

We scored more goals than you, we fill up our stadium for 95% of the games and our games are being shown on TV worldwide much more than any other team in the premiership. We’ve got the biggest worldwide fanbase.

Also I still don’t understand how homegrown Londoners (Arsenal fans) can be so proud of a team consisting of almost no homegrown players at all. It’s easier for me as a oversea fan to support any team, but even as a Swede I appreciate and feel the spirit and legacy of the players we have who are born 10 mins away from Old Trafford and have played for their heart and soul club their hole life and say over and over again they would never consider to play for any other club.

When Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Neville etc prefer to play only a few more years and finish their carreers at the club in their hearts to earning twice the money in Italy or Spain it makes me so proud. When a player like Rooney (who joined from other clubs) say at 23 years of age that he wants to finish his carreer at this club you realise we’ve got something special going on here that don’t exist in any of the other top clubs we’re players come and go and only a few devotes their heart and mind to his club.

118. YESS.. **** MANU they can suck crouchie’s long ****!!!

119. Red devil you are missing my point here
Look at the bench strength of manu and arsenal.Just compare the quality of manu strikers to arsenal.Tell me with such a strong squad why is manu still in second place?

I dont mind whether they come second or third this season, because they have already won by proving to all that you dont need star players to win.

Arsene wenger started this team as a dream and i just hope he succeeds.

120. by the way manu leads arsenal by just 1 goal even with having players like carlos tevez ronaldo rooney, nani ..
funny ****.

121. Peace:

Your argument was that Arsenal played in flare compared to United and it fails in the goal scoring department. We’ve scored 1 goal more with 1 game less in the league, true, but in all competitions we’ve scored more than you, a matter of fact we’ve scored 6 against your team in two games aswell… ;)

122. Regarding Arsenals squad. Success builds success. Man United have been successfull for a long time and have built a huge fanbase that generates alot of money. But you don’t get anything for free, (it requires alot of hard work.) Unless you’ve got a control freak russion billionaire or a criminal Thai minister jumping to the rescue and splashing the cash for you to buy some success.

Man United bought alot of players as everyone else. As a wellknown club with alot of money we often pay much more than other clubs would have to do for the same players. But we still have a huge base in the squad built of playings who are products of our own youth academy, something Arsenal or Liverpool can’t manage anymore it seems…

Regarding Man U is in second place, well we had the worst start we’ve had for several years this season and most of the points we’ve lost have come on occasions when we lost with the absolute smallest margins. We’ve never been outplayed once this season. We lost a random break-of-luck goal at Emirates in stoppage time and Ronaldo missed a penalty for 2-0 with 20 mins to go against West Ham. We outplayed Reading, City x 2, Bolton and we simply got robbed in some of those games. Just take the two I mentioned first – win against Arsenal and West Ham and the league would in fact be done and dusted this season. Arsenal have perhaps (as I said before) had the higher tops but your worst level of a performance is really low.

We’re 2 points behind with a game in hand, we’ve matched Juventus record in the european cup by winning 10 games in a row, we have the (by many neutral experts) best central defence in the footballing world at the moment and so on.

It’s crunch time now, and to be honest I think we’ll have a huge indication of were the title is going to end up on the evening of Sunday March the 23rd. Derby away this weekend (Boro at home for Gunner who they were completely outplayed against at the Riverside) then Bolton at home in midweek before the crunchtime sunday 23rd when Liverpool comes to Old trafford followed later that afternoon by Arsenals visit to Stanford Bridge.

My hopes and beliefs is that we’re 3-4 points ahead by that time, and might even be able to afford dropping points against Arsenal and/or Chelsea away and still win the league in the end.

Regarding Arsenals squad – if it’s not big enough – win alot of trophies – make your clubs history famous – get some homegrown talent and you’ll also be able to spend some money…

or look around for some russian, arab or thai millionaire to buy you the success in the short run… (Don’t let any powerhungry stupid yankees put your club in depth though, not anything I recommend, it sucks, but in 2008 all you can do is the best of the situation!)

123. Record ten games in a row is at home and no other obviously.

124. der’s no point arguing whether a team need more or less star players. It all depends on d team’s strategy n style of play.Based on united’s style of play..sir alex let’s his players to play with total freedom n based mostly on understanding. End of story.

125. Tough…Ah well, we still have the Premier League and the UEFA Champion’s League.

126.
And I dont really understand what this got to do with anything… So what?! Ruud Van Nistelrooy scored 150 goals in 201 appearances for United, wich gives us aprox 0.75 goals per appearance. In comparison to that, Henry sucks bigtime…
Hey men don’t trash Henry, he brought a lot of quality football for all fans worldwide, Nistelrooy is good too but he is a diferent kind of player, more of a goal scorer than a playmaker..

127. Exactly what I think about Rooney. He’s more of a playmaker aswell I think. He usually scores good goals like last season when his contribution was vital at times, but what I miss most when he’s not playing is his fighting spirit and ability to lift the team and the fans.

128.
Exactly what I think about Rooney. He’s more of a playmaker aswell I think. Red Devil give yourself a break dude… you have commneted on this video way more than you should. Easy men. Everybody get’s your point, give others a chance to comment and move on.

129. I am going to comment on today’s Derby match here coz that video is not posted yet. United are creating a lot of chances but missing most of those, some of those are easy sitters. Once again we had to look for Ronaldo to score. I am concerned for 2 things – missing too many chances and the other is the over-dependence on Ronaldo for scoring goals which I did not believe until this match. Of course we have potential goal scorers in Rooney and Tevez but where r those Rooney Saha goals gone. Also we used to see Rio and Vidic heading on the odd corners and Scholesy’s deadly volleys from 30 yards out. I for one is missing those do not know if other fellow United fans feel the same way

130. How many years have we (the supporters of other 91 clubs) watched Man United win unfounded penalties, find equalizers in phantom injury time and have opposing teams lose a player to questionable red cards?

It happens so often that we almost come to expect it.

Finally, the tables are turned and Ferguson & Co claim “bloody murder!” and demand a review of the referees?

Alex Ferguson can go eat **** and **** himself!

131. What penalties have we got this season that have been questionable? What sendings off? Obi Mikel made a cruel tackle in the game against Chelsea, Mascherano made a 30 yard run against the ref to complain and got his second yellow.. be reasonable.

Chelsea: Ashley cole unbeliavably not sent off against Tottenham for a tackle that is a copy of the one that cut Eduardos leg off.

Terry not being sent off/penalty given against sunderland, total wrestling in the pen area.

Chelsea offside goals: Is it one each game now? One against Spurs (Joe Cole), equaliser against Arsenal..

Carvalho handball saving shot from Middlesboro right after they scored in the pen area not given.

Arsenal – eduardo handball scoring equaliser against Everton away. Offside 2-0 goal against City, and the week after another offside goal..

Can u please make a list of “all those” soft ref decision United got this season, because it seems as always, alot of bull and no facts when people complain on United.

It’s a ****** Myth. Prove it with facts or ****!
