tottenham surely deserved the win. no doubt. but if tottenham beat arseanl in the epl than i think they should be as happy as this game. let’s face it, half of the squad in tonight’s game were not starters in the epl. some of them are even not in the sub list during epl, tottenham has just taught arsenal’s youngster a lesson. the goals were mainly caused by the mistakes of the cb traoe and the goalie, not surprised if they have those performance and getting a lose

Only reason you lost is because the youngsters haven’t been perverted into the usual arsenal training sessions of cheating 101 (look at your unbeaten season when you played Everton and Jeffers took a blatent dive to keep all that alive)

You spurs fans are right. Us arsenal fans souldn’t say anything about ti being our 2nd team, coz i’m sure if it was our first team we would have lost by even more, such is the might of Spurs. Last night it dawned on me….you are actually the greatest footballing sidfe in the world, EVER!
Only now have I come to realise it! Lets be honest; lets put things in perspective. That was pretty much your biggest game of the season – if not the past 5 seasons, since you had us in the fa cup semi. For us this was a nothing match when put ionto perspective. The only reason it hurts us arsenal fans is because it was against our local rivals.
I think the reaction of the spurs fans – and I would be very happy if I was you, I’m not begrudging you that – says a lot. You can’t seem to acknowledge that this game meant 1,000 times more to you than it did to us. As a result, you put a lot more effort in than we did.
Well done, but at the end of the day, this result is meaningless!

Thanks, Adam…as a Spurs fan (I can’t believe I’m about to type these words), I agree with you. It did mean more to us, and it was definitely our biggest result of the season. But it was OUR result. I just take offense to all the excuses flying around about 2nd team and what-not. I live in NY, and I’m a big Yankees fan, and I hear this everyday of the summer from Boston Red Sox fans. They can’t deal with losing – there always has to be an excuse. So I see your point, Adam, and I do agree…and I applaud you for having a level head on your shoulders. You may be the one Arsenal fan on the planet that I could discuss football with and NOT get totally frustrated.

But it’s funny you call it the “Worthless Cup” since I just went to Arsenal webpage and saw how proud they are to put their league cup wins in the history section. Is it somehow worthless if it goes to any team OTHER than Arsenal, or is it only worthless if Spurs win it?

Any Arsenal fan who harps on about their team just being full of kids etc. etc. needs to actually think about the team they actually played.
Gallas, Hleb, Sagna, Gilberto Silva are not kids
Bendtner, Walcott, Diaby, Denilson, Hoyte are relatively young, but have played a fair amount of Premiership games between them this season, and would walk into any mid table club’s first team.
Finally, Fabianski and Armand Traore, are young and have relatively little experience, so that’s your team of kids. Two out of eleven…

First and foremost, lets take it from here that SPURS truely did well and won e game… =) dont just whine about us playing 2nd team players… whoever played were deemed by Wenger that they are good enough… though Wenger may have made a mistakes to field some of them, there’s still lessons to be learnt… without such thrashing, Arsenal players will get their heads too BIG to fit e team… we have to get on with such results and continue from here…

it will definetly be a hard final for us. i think united will edge the title but you definetly need to sort out your defence again because if they play like that for the rest of the season, you won’t be challenging them at all. however you have got a very capable defence and when toure returns, you will be far better. i dont rate traore though, lennon made him look terrible. what do you think of him?

yeah your right there if we play like that we wont even be in the uefa cup next year let a lone the champions league, i think traore is ok but lacks the experience otherwise do think he’ll come good. think we should loan the players out to get more experience, we need toure back asap to be honest as he is our main defender like king is to spurs. if king had been fit all season then it would of been a different story for spurs. think we need to do a sol campbell on spurs again but with king lol what would the yid army do if he did come to us?

I keep hearing that none of these players play in the first team, if arsenal fans botherd to look at the birmingham game they will 9 players in that game faced spurs on tuesday night. Also there was a great commet made in the paper in saying do arsenal fans really know there reserve players because the majority who played on tuesday have not represented them this season.

it doesn’t matter who was available each leg, it matters who played… if arsenal plays full first team boths legs, we win both legs easily, there were essential parts missing. if the usual starting 11 are together, it’s completely different than having 8 or 9. there is a whole new dynamic to the way they play because of the personnel on the field. everyone knows that. spurs on the other hand had their starting 11 for both legs; a starting 11 that plays with each other on a weekly basis. that was the difference

As a veteran fan from the early sixties super Spurs, I can honestly say that the atmosphere at the Lane matched that of those years. I do not believe there are more passionate fans in the country. The Haemorrhoids and Old Trashford are morgues by comparison.
