Everton vs Manchester United

It was a long, hard day for both teams. Every team created its chances. They both had plenty of them. But at the end, only one of those chances was converted into a goal.
Phil Neville played against his former club and if it was for Tim Howard’s injury, he would also play against his former club. We can say the same for Wayne Rooney, that although he travalled with Manchester United squad, he did not make it into the team to play against Everton.
Scholes was booked in the first half for punching the ball away after giving away a free kick. Ronaldo was also booked in the second half, because his knock was only a drama, in the referee’s eyes.
Mikael Silvestre suffered a very nasty looking knee injury, and was stretchered. He was substituted by Nani.
Plenty of chances came from both sides, but it was in the 83rd minute when a header from Nemanja Vidic was placed in goal. Lots of relief from Manchester United.
Another minimum win from Manchester United, but still winning 6-0 like Liverpool vs Derby or winning 1-0 makes no difference. It’s still 3 points. But they have to work hard, very hard if they really want to win the title again.
