Wigan handed FA misconduct charge

Wigan have been charged by the the Football Association with failing to control their players last Saturday, against Newcastle.
Wigan have until Wednesday 19th September to appeal.
“The charge relates to the conduct of their players towards referee Steve Bennett in two separate incidents,” said an FA statement.
Wigan lost 1-0 to a late Michael Owen’s goal and also had Kevin Kilbane sent off after two bookable offences.
