Kieran Richardson signed a four-year deal with Sunderland on Monday, where he will work with former Manchester United teammate Roy Keane. I would have prefered Ludovic Giuly to join Newcastle so that i’ll be able to keep track of his fantastic talents and actually see him play regularly but it’s not to be as AS Roma has signed the Barca star for £2.2million.
He has now passed a medical and agreed terms on a lucrative three-year deal.
Giuly had been linked with a return to former club Monaco, as well as several other top European clubs, but he had his heart set on Roma.
“He refused offers from six other clubs who were willing to spend up to £6million for his services, but he chose Roma,” Ernesto Bronzetti, who acted as mediator in the deal, told Rete Sport.
