Richardson transferred to Sunderland

Kieran Richardson signed a four-year deal with Sunderland on Monday, where he will work with former Manchester United teammate Roy Keane. Richardson joins the Black Cats after five years at United, where he played alongside Keane, who is now manager of Sunderland. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ludovic Giuly I would have prefered Ludovic Giuly to join Newcastle so that i’ll be able to keep track of his fantastic talents and actually see him play regularly but it’s not to be as AS Roma has signed the Barca star for £2.2million.

He has now passed a medical and agreed terms on a lucrative three-year deal.

Giuly had been linked with a return to former club Monaco, as well as several other top European clubs, but he had his heart set on Roma.

“He refused offers from six other clubs who were willing to spend up to £6million for his services, but he chose Roma,” Ernesto Bronzetti, who acted as mediator in the deal, told Rete Sport.

Didier Drogba Might Leave Chelsea

AC Milan and Porto are said to be hot on the heels of Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and now the striker himself has hinted that he might leave the Bridge if he is “not taken care of”, which esseantially means..show me the money.

He told The Sun: “For now things are still fuzzy, not clear. Yet any good offer could tip the scale in any other team’s favour. I have heard there are offers from Porto, Barca and the rest. But I’ve not made up my mind.”

Drogba’s 20 goals helped Chelsea to second spot in the Premiership last season, but the 29-year-old expects better and has warned he will consider leaving if the Blues cannot up their game.

Roy Keane has plundered his old club to land Kieran Richardson for £5 million.Richardson, 22, has been at United since leaving West Ham aged 16 in 2001 but looked to be on his way out following the big money signings of Nani and Anderson.

He was called up to England’s 2005 summer tour of the United States after impressing on loan at West Brom - scoring twice on his debut - and, despite being tipped for a permanent move to the Hawthorns, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson asked him back to Old Trafford in order to provide competition for veteran winger Ryan Giggs.

Dudek seals Real deal

Real Madrid have snapped up Jerzy Dudek on a free transfer as back-up to Iker Casillas following his release by Liverpool at the end of last season.

The Polish international was linked to Bolton and Manchester City, but was always keen on trying his hand in Spain.

Bernd Schuster gave the green light to complete the deal for the Pole after he finalised deals for central defenders Pepe and Christoph Metzelder, who arrived from Porto and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

Madrid have been after a new keeper following the sale of highly-rated youth team product Diego Lopez to Villarreal for €6million last month.
