http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/7567/19384379nf7.jpg Thaksin Shinawatra, the former prime minister of Thailand has officially made a bid (£81.6 million) to takeover the reigns at Manchester City, and to top it all he has confirmed that he has been in talk with Sven Goran Eriksson to become the new Manchester City manager. This news sounds like a major disaster for City if Eriksson is chosen becuase i personally think he is just not the right one for Man City and his poor performance as England coach should have been enough to alert Thaksin, unfortunately that isn’t the case.
The claim of talks with Eriksson directly contradicts Eriksson’s agent Athole Still, who described as “absolute rubbish” claims that the former England manager had been in contact with Thaksin.
“That is one of the names that my advisers told me about. He is a very capable coach,” Thaksin told Sky Sports News.
Asked whether he had held discussions with the Swede, he said: “Yes, I met him. Probably last week maybe, I don’t remember.

All the buzz right now is about Kaka’s potential move to Real Madrid for a World record fee, however i’ve decided to shift the attention to his other half, his lovely wife Caroline Celico.
In 2005, two days before Christmas, Kaká married 18-year-old Caroline Celico at the Reborn in Christ Church in São Paulo. She was born on July 26, 1987 to Rosangela Lyra, the director of Dior in Brazil, and entrepreneur Celso Celico. She and Kaká met in 2001 while she was a student and he was playing for São Paulo FC. The wedding drew 600 guests, including fellow Brazilian footballers Cafu, Ronaldo, Adriano, Dida, Júlio Baptista, and then-Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira. Caroline is currently attending university in Milan, where she plans to earn a fashion business degree.
That’s sweet, and to think she isn’t even 20-years-old yet! (at the time of this post).

No, not Cristiano but Turkish side Fenerbahce is hoping to secure the services of AC Milan’s Ronaldo for 9 million euros and reunite him with Roberto Carlos.
Fenerbahce have won the Turkish Super League in three of the last four seasons, though have struggled to make any impact on the European stage. With the signing of Roberto Carlos and possibly Ronaldo, they are hoping to finally progress ion the Champions League.
I was actually hoping that Ronaldo would play for AC Milan next season, i want to see that Seedorf - Kaka - Ronaldo combination at work, i saw a glimpse of it this seaon but i’m hoping for more.

Newcastle United striker Obafemi Martins said he narrowly escaped death or serious injury after being shot at while driving in Lagos.
The Nigeria international escaped unhurt but a friend was injured after masked gunmen sprayed his Mercedes with bullets.
"They shot indiscriminately and tried to kill all the occupants of the car. They weren't there to rob me but to finish me off," the 22-year-old former Inter Milan player said in Wednesday's Sun newspaper.
"I thought I was going to die. They executed it like professional hired assassins. It was hell.
"I was dead in my heart and soul. It all happened like something in the movies."
According to the report, the incident happened near a petrol station in the Nigerian city where Martins grew up and still owns an apartment.
"How I managed to escape is still shocking and unbelievable," added the player who scored 11 league goals in his first season at St James Park. "Maybe someone up there loves me more than I could imagine."
Martins said he would be reluctant to return to Nigeria for international duty.
"I don't feel safe in Lagos any more," he said. "When the situation gets out of control I don't think coming home is something I can even contemplate."
