If any of you actually knew what you were talking about you would know that the coach's priority was to WIN the gold cup, and qualify for the confederations cup. Since the team managed to do this we are using copa america as an opportunity to test out some new young talent. The opportunities to test out young players against some of the best talent in the world do not come around very often, especially opportunities were there are no real consequences if we perform badly. The US are the CONCACAF champions, and being so they are the epitome of MOST that CONCACAF can offer. If one of the best teams in the CONCACAF is easily defeated to an Argentina that lacked team work mentality in the entire first half, then one cant help to think that this is MOST of what CONCACAF has to offer. I have no idea what the US coach even attempted with that sort of line-up. Having great players is useless unless you show them off in tournaments like these.
