Gold Cup — Canada thought it was a goal. The Americans said it was offside. Fortunately for the Americans, the linesman and referee agreed with them. Canada had a goal in the final minute of stoppage time waved off Thursday night, preserving the Americans' 2-1 victory and their spot in the CONCACAF Gold Cup final. Frankie Hejduk scored his first goal in almost seven years, and Landon Donovan converted yet another penalty kick for the winner.

I am from Montreal, very proud of our National team and its performance at the in the Gold Cup this year. We have so many great International players (Hume and De Guzman are just reaching their peak) and the future for Canadian soccer is very bright. Congrats guys! We should have been allowed that goal….and into the final.

Absolutely ripped off. It sucks to have to lose that way, but we canucks can be proud of the team. They showed some heart and I’m looking forward to world cup qualifying!

the ref made a mistake giving the offside and the penalty …..
The goally didnt even have contact with the american player And the offside was a :-? … IDIOTTTTT call cuz the US player actually passed the ball to the Canai player
so the actual score should have been 2-1 FOR CANADA
