Athletic Bilbao lifted themselves out of the relegation zone with a surprise victory over title contenders Valencia.Los Che arrived in Bilbao hoping to put themselves third in the table ahead of the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Chelsea, but things did not go to plan as Igor Gabilondo scored the only goal of the game in the first half.
