Roma took a 2-1 lead back to Manchester after sub Mirko Vucinic's 66th minute strike gave them the win against United. A deflected Rodrigo Taddei goal put the hosts in front before United – who played for 58 minutes with ten men after Paul Scholes was sent-off – equalised through Wayne Rooney.

scholes second yellow was completely uncalled for chivu is a dirty cheat. scholes was going for the ball and it was a completely innocuous and unintentional foul, not at all worthy of a yellow.
as for rooney’s goal..the calm, the focus-thats the definition of world-class. a far better goal than either of roma’s scrappy goals. even w/o vidic and scholes we only need a 1-0 result at home and i have faith

Totti did not do much today to be honest. However Mancini and the other Brazilian guy did much more than the Italian most overrated international. Ronaldo and Rooney were the only ones that played well for United. Fletcher and O’Shea should look for other teams to play for. They are just not at the level of football that United play. And finally the yellow cards for Scholes were absolutely unfair. Totti could have moved and not got hit by Scholes. He intentionally got hit.

Roma defeated Lyon in their own house and will do the same at Old Trafford. They may not win it but they will settle for a 0-0 draw and jsut look at their definsive statistics during the entire tournament…theyre the best. Also, if Man U. does score, which I don’t doubt for a second regardless of Romas’s defense, Roma can easily counter. Roma will go through.

Roma won’t stand a chance at OT. The guys are absolutely unstoppable at home and Roma will feel the pain as we will put an end to their current run.
As to the 2nd yc to scholesy I find that completely unfair! He comes late on an innocent challenge and Totti exagurate it, and the ref goes for it. So much for initially blaming Ron for filming + Perrota filming for penalty.

Roma will not go through, United will rally at O.T. & Even if Roma manage to go through, they won’t make it to the final. Their offense is skidish, their defense looks confused, even against a 10 man squad. If they were so dominant, why didn’t they put 2 or 3 more on United, at home, with

Scholes deserved the red, what was it his 4th offence in 20 minutes? They weren’t dirty tackles, but clumsy tackles.
No one in the United team took control of the game and only Rooney and Heinz had a good game. O.T will be a lot different.
