Didier Drogba is African Player of The Year

Chelsea and Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba has been given the title African Player of The Year,the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on its website.

I guess it’s no suprise to this as Drogba’s superb performances displaced Barcelona’s Samuel Eto’o to second place though Eto’o can take comfort that he’s been top in 2003, 2004 and 2005.

Drogba’s teammate at Chelsea Michael Essien comes in third.
