If Morgan&#039;s header had con in that goal would not have been disallowed for Webber standing (static) in an otherwise offside position. Once the Watford &#039;keeper played the ball this brought Webber on-side as he was now behind the ball when last played &amp; the last player was an opponent, either of which events change his status. He is then thus free to become active, which he did.

And if you want a subjective rather than objective argument - if Webber &#039;should&#039; (i.e. what pundits think is &#039;right&#039; rather than what the laws of football say) have been given offside and wasn&#039;t it just makes up for the disallowed late goal on Saturday against WHU which &#039;should&#039; have been allowed as no foul was commited by Kozluk on the &#039;keeper&#039;. Laws o fthe game leave this to the ref&#039;s decision... 

cake? eat it? keep it? I don&#039;t have to choose!
